HOT! NO SHADE IN SUMMER, but a nice location....

Came here for an extended weekend at the end of July. The majority of these sites are in direct sun, with a few that have shade only for brief periods of time during the day...most will not even put shade on your camper or trailer. IT WAS HOT. The only relief you can get is the occasional breeze blowing between large RV's, or head over to the coast and jump in the water. The campground is relatively clean, but many of the sites are overgrown with low lying weeds, and it doesn't seem to be well maintained in that respect. The restroom and shower facilities are clean. If you happen to be in a site that shares a water spigot with an adjacent unit, make sure you bring a long water hose...we needed to borrow a nice neighbor's spare hose. The area is very nice, there are plenty of areas to fish and to relax and take walks. You can access the beaches on  foot if you'd like.
