Clean Friendly Service Easy Check In
Wide variety of sites, not directly on top of our neighbors, plenty of nature, we love the beach!

Love this place but this Thanksgiving weekend there was no cleaning of the baths. Several emails to the office brought apologies and an offer of a refund We just wanted those who were getting paid to clean do their job. Camps hosts were hardly ever seen
Being a family of surfers we love this campground! Beach is awesome, staff is always friendly and the bike trails are great. We also enjoy the playground area with zip line.
Campsites spread apart and has lots of tropical plants. Can walk to the beach (beautiful and long!) and has a large lake.
Unable to find available sites on Amelia Island/Fernandina we found Kathryn Abby Hannah. Not so far away and the Mayport ferry ride was pleasant. Mosquitos were huge, walks on the beach great, loved nearby seafood markets. Best for small rigs, we have a NOBO. Let's go again.
I like to camp and I like to go fishing spend my time to relax and stress-free
Stayed two nights in a 21 ft motorhome. Loved the city park with tons of amenities including beach and lake access. Provides full hook up with 30 or 50 amp service. Our site 283 was great as close to park entrance, beach access, lake and store. Only disappointed in the bath house shower facilities. Bath house was close to campsite and was a no frill shower but not maintained well. The on line reservation is a little tricky but when you get to speak to someone they are very helpful.
Hanna park was a mixed bag for us. The park location was nice, near Mayport. The park is beautiful with lots of fun things like trails, fishing, bike and kayaks. It has a big lake on one side and miles of ocean on the other side. The campground was a surprise because the sites were small, not easily accessable and not very private, and beach access was a bit of a distance to walk. Bike rentals are another way of going to the beach, but the elderly would have to drive. The store is convenient, the restrooms are ok, the laundry was closed.. I have mixed feelings, but the kids (11yr olds) had fun.
This park is gorgeous an very big. Awesome biking riding be sure to bring them so many trails an ride your bike straight to the beach. Site was kinda small and not very private. Also bathroom was a kinda far from our site as well. But this campground had a stocked pond close to beaches even had a gift an supply store. I really enjoyed this trip. Keep watch for your food even though we had ours away a huge racoon came in an stole some doritos lol. Bathroom was under construction but clean. Absolutely go back an recommended this park for sure. Love jacksonville
Great amenities here and the scenery is absolutely beautiful! Several bike and walking trails that we enjoyed. Also have bikes and kayaks that you can rent. We spotted a couple gators on our kayak trip. The reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 is bc the spaces are pretty tight. Also, the bathrooms are pretty crunchy.
The campground is like being in a tropical forest but yet its just a short bike ride to the beach. Absolutely fantastic place to stay. We would come back if we weren't so far away (AZ).
This place felt like we escaped to another land. My kids called it Jurassic Park.
We've gone to Hanna Park as a family for at least the last 20 years. It's definitely a great place to stay for the whole family. Took both of my kids for the first time recently, and it was the first place we took our daughter camping.
Loved loved loved my first time camping there!! So quiet and peaceful day and night. Felt safe too!
We were only there for one night but it was beautiful
We were nestled in a palm Hamic at the back of the campground with no one around us. The campsite was well lit and they were lights on the electric box which was nice. Not too far of a walk to the beach but if you have young children bikes or a wagon is a good idea or you can drive. The campground was very quiet at night. Plenty of hoot owl’s to lull you to sleep.
Arrived excited to stay in a "purple" (up to 35 feet) 50 amp rv site with full hookups for a week by the beach. Have read great reviews of this park. We made this reservation in December. We checked in and arrived at our site, #25, only to find a low front, high middle, low back end back in site, too narrow for slideouts and with great washed out tree roots extending towards the center of the high middle. We would have bottomed out badly to straddle the higher center after the rear wheels dropped down in the lower back end of the site. This also put the sewer uphill from our black tank. Our 33 foot class A was not going to work. I went to the office, only to be told they were full with no other sites available, oh, and no refund because we had checked in, and that is City of Jacksonville rules. Did I mention it was raining, cold, and about 2 hours until dark? We left, drove through the rain out of Jacksonville and found a nice private RV park with an available level site outside of Callahan, FL.
This is our second trip to stay here. Each time has been for a week. It is our favorite campground. The Atlantic Beach on one side, freshwater lake on the other. Quiet and very natural. You will track more dirt in your camper since there are no concrete pads but so what. Now for my negative. Both trips we had a sewer connection that was stubbed off at least 8 inches high. Whoever did this certainly doesn't know the first rule of plumbing drains. If we come back again I will put several cinder blocks in the truck to try and raise my sewer line as a Slunky doesn't begin to solve this issue. Pretty frustrating for a week's stay when tanks are emptied several times.
Love this place. Great setup for tent camping. Make sure you check the privacy level of your site when you book. It ranges from a decent enough amount of privacy to right up in people's business. Easy walk to the beach, which was mostly abandoned for the entirety of my stay. The staff was super friendly, and they have pretty much anything you could need in the store on-site. Can't wait to to back!
We stayed 5 nights in January. This is a one of a kind experience. Staff was very helpful from check in to departure. Campsites are not concrete so be extra careful stabilizing your RV. We are returning in March and will have more 4x4 chocks to use. Every site has full hookups with lighted power posts. Only negative we had to move once and the second site sewer connection was stubbed out pretty high, be sure you have a slunky and even then I had to raise the hose to empty it. Easy access to the Atlantic beach on one side and a nice fresh water lake on the other. Access code is needed to enter and campers are provided with the code. Didnt use the restrooms or showers so cant comment on those. Camp store was open reduced hours but seemed well stocked. If you are interested in local seafood Mayport has 2 excellent restaurants nearby, Safe Harbor and Singletons are really good. Dollar stores are nearby as well. Bottom line we LOVE this place!
Located in Jacksonville, Florida this state park is one of the most impressive places we’ve stayed. The surroundings make you feel as if you’re staying in a jungle. The park is massive and offers cabins, RV sites and tent sites. The bathrooms and showers are clean and well kept. The park offers a variety of activities including mountain biking trails, access to a lake and several beaches. We spent one day fishing and had a great time! Each site has a fire pit and a picnic table, along with full hook ups. The store has everything you could possibly need and sells firewood and propane. Book online to see photos of what each site looks like to make sure you get as much space as you need for your size rig.
Really enjoyed tent camping here and the hiking/ biking trails were gorgeous and well maintained. Stayed a week to renew our spirits. Hot showers and great camphosts!
Facilities are dated but clean and close to everything.
This park has it all! Great beaches, hiking trails, mountain bike trails, camping, and the list goes on.
Cute little camp spots in the woods with decent privacy. Very close to the beach for total serenity. Pets are allowed. Lots of mountain biking in the park, which is a popular place for people to go to in Jacksonville. There’s just too Many mosquitos and the park needs a good prescribed burn.
This park makes me think of The Jungle Cruise at Disneyland. It is heavily forested and the sites are literally like threading a needle. Even on the map they look close together chances are you won't really see or hear your neighbors. Bathrooms, shower and dump site available as is recycling and dumpsters. Close to a dog friendly beach but please use the walkways and stay off the dunes.
There is also a store with rentals and playgrounds available, walking trails and bike trails have limitations posted and entrances so be aware.
Site have water and electric hook ups but came across a bit of a problem as the outlets are installed upside down so it was really hard to insert the 30amp plug because the cord made it a very tight fit. (50amp same way) see pictures.
Good cell coverage with AT&T and Verizon.
Overall we had a good time here. We booked private Back-in RV site for our rooftop tent. We also had a hammock tent which is not allowed in this campground (as we learned later) if you are planning to tie it to trees. Bathrooms need some updating - some shower heads were broken. Nice campground otherwise. Access to lake and beach was pretty nice but require a little walk. Several playgrounds for kids. Would come back.
Stayed here in a tent for two nights, after driving up from at St Augustine KOA. The park's natural beauty is breathtaking. The lake, the bird islands, the serenity, the tall trees, the gorgeous beach on the premise are all juxtaposed with the actual state of the camp sites themselves. Having seen the mistake of choosing site #6, was able to switch to #243 with no neighbors, but a short walk to the bathrooms. The bathrooms are somewhat ghastly. The shower stalls are small, and the water pressure is questionable. The camp store is very well stocked. The bike trails are somewhat challenging because of the spider webs, haha. It rained during this outing. Site #232 is not quite level, and the bedding is natural dirt. Some mosquitos, but not as bad as the truck-sized ants. Paw prints on the picnic table was evidence of visitors during the bike ride absence, but they didn't pay visible visits like at Anastasia and Fort De Soto.
We stayed in site 138 after a really bad rain (TS Sally). I want to really like this park as there is a lot to do without leaving the premises.
The pros: the beach is right there and really nice! There’s also a lake on premise that has bass jumping everywhere during their evening feed. It would be great to kayak out with a fishing rod. The kids have a great playground, but the splash pad was under maintenance. There is a camp store at the front of the campground that sells ice, firewood, and misc items. Didn’t go in as we got in late and left early. There’s also a laundry house which is very handy.
The cons: bathhouses leave a bit to be desired in the way of cleanliness. There are some nice private sites, but many are exposed and muddy when it rains and the setup is a bit odd. We also had biting ants in our site so bring a can of Raid spray and you’ll be fine. The roads around the camp are falling apart and need some attention!!
Over all, I’d give it a try again if it was during a dry spell and a few of the better sites are open.
Price paid: $30 + $3 tax for electric and water.
