Nice campground!
This is a nice campground that's located right on the intercoastal waterway right across from Kennedy Space Center. We saw two rocket launches while here. Make sure you visit Port Canaveral and eat at the many excellent restaurants.

26 acres, small campground; most sites are relatively close to each other; lots of trees and shade; beautiful water views from several campsites, specially sites 51, 13, 65-69, 169, 170), pool and lots of parks within 30 minutes of Manatee Hammock. Downside is freight train noise every night in the early morning hours and traffic noise, specially with campsites near the busy US-1. Also, no fires unless you bring your own fire pit and must be at least 6" off the ground.
We booked last minute in January for an overnight stay with a 25ft RV. They were able to accommodate us. Majority of guests are here for long term. They all made us newbies feel very welcome. Paid 55$ for full hook-up. Poor wifi reception.
Great county park for our holiday weekend trip. Sites are a little tight and park is open to none campers, but otherwise no complaints (and really those aren’t a big deal). Decent rates, full hook ups, great location, friendly staff, clean bathhouse, and beautiful views of the Indian River. We plan on coming back.
Wonderful staff and well maintained Park, sites and facilities. Great fishing and kayaking in the lagoon with a view of Cape Canaveral.
Nice park and amenities. Maintained well enough. Spaces are closer together but the amount of trees and foliage make it seem more private. Don’t ask for an early check in. Even if your spot is empty. The staff was extremely rude and unfriendly. I understand policy is policy but being rude doesn’t help enforce the policy.
its nice to relax .. if you are a camper ... for first time it dont have nothing plan its not good...
Has been wonderful clean and quiet. We have a truck tent.
We have been at the campground for two weeks now and it is great. Beautiful river view right across from the KSC.
Stayed 1 night in a tent site, car camping. Arrived a bit late and had to set up in the dark. Efficient lighting and close to washrooms. A cold front came in and thankfully I was prepared and was toasty warm.
The spaces are packed tight with no privacy. The bathrooms are well kept. Nice to be right on the river and close to the space center.
The lots are close to each other but wasn’t horrible. Just know if you open your blind, you might be looking in at your neighbor. Close to a lot in the area. The lots are super hard to locate after the sun has set as there is no directions.
Other than that, it was a nice park.
No longer the good deal it used to be Their charging for everything No more discounts after Nov 15 2022 Check online for the new and future prices
The park was full. We got one of the last two spots left, which were the only two that were full sun so it was very hot! We checked in around midnight and they had security at the gate that just kept an eye on things. Our whole purpose of camping is to fish so although they had a nice pier to fish off of, you could see straight through the 1’-2’ deep water with no drop off in sight. All you can catch really are horseshoe crab and rays. This was very disappointing for us. To make it up, there is a pool on site which was great for the kids. The bath houses were clean and always had soap and toilet paper and parking also so you don’t have to walk. Unfortunately there was a bad apple there that decided to vandalize one of the game tables while we were there but management posted updates on the main doors of the office about what activities were available or unavailable. It was a good place to watch the shuttle launches. If you go to the right of the pier there are benches under the palms so you can sit and watch. Go to spaceflight.com for launch info. We did notice they have a dog park with waste bag stations but nobody was in there. Primitive tent camping is closer to the water but not waterfront while RV camping is behind the tents. You are only allowed one shade structure per RV, no tents on RV sites. The sites are really squished together so I felt like I was walking in the backyard of the RV next to us every time I went outside. We used the 30 amp electric and water hookups without problems. They do have picnic tables at each site. Fires are allowed but have to be off the ground, no fire rings. Our site backed up to the drainage ditch which was full of shrubs and no water whatsoever. Overall it was a good trip. The kids rated it 4 stars each (I’m sure because of the pool) but we do not plan on returning any time soon as we want to explore more fishing options. However we will return if we just want to get away and the kids can swim their little hearts out!
The downside it has is only loud noises at night from the highway racers or train that goes about 7 to 9 times per night and not having a playground for the kids but they have a pier that you can walk on 24/7 and let the dogs run freely inside a dog fence that's next to the river while you play volleyball or fish. They have an old boat ramp is now a beach area plus it is gated and have security if anything happens which hasn't in the 4 months of being here. They are super helpful to find places to go or where to stay on short notices They do their best even if you have to move around d a little.
I chose to camp here based on the previous reviews. Here’s my take. Pros: Close to Kennedy Space Center, pool, fishing pier, large off-leash dog park, full hook-up, canoe/kayak launch. Cons: Sites are small and close to one another, most people have a lot of “stuff” at their site, some groups can be quite loud into the evening hours, no campfire ring, trains come by during the night. No hiking available within the park. Sites experience a lot of washout when it rains. Several sites are close enough to a major road to hear the traffic quite easily.
We stayed here simply to visit KSC and you cannot beat the location, it's just across the bridge. We stayed in the tent area, and while there was no privacy between spots, it was right on the water. The views were half nice - one half the lagoon and one half dog park. There was a great little dock out on the water but the ground was very wet and mushy. Toilets were fine but no fire rings provided.
Many units close together. We'll maintained. Utilities worked, easy, backing access to our site.
Beautiful. People are friendly. Easy access pull through. Love the view (watching dolphins play). Near a main road you can gear and across from a VFW blasting music.
Great camping, well maintained by the county! Great hot showers always clean. Regular security patrols.
sites are small and narrow and nearly impossible to back into because main streets are narrow and full of obstacles (signs and utility posts) that keep you from maneuvering. Lots of shade and nice views of the river. We even watched a Falcon 9 launch from the pier. No cable. Sites are closely spaced
If your a fisher, you'll love this park. Looking for a beach, not here. Lots of pretty plants and animals.
We were here for 6 days. Watched Space X Crew 2 launch today. Good view across the water. Campground is nice. Stayed in Site 125. Plenty of room for our 2 golden retriever dogs. Some sites larger than others and some more close than we like. Full hookups. Checking was easy. Have some street lights. Nice bathroom facilities and showers. Very clean. Laundry 🧺 on site as well. Have a fenced dog area for off leash. Nice pier too. Dogs swam in the water too. Most sites had shade. Good central location for sites around to see. Saw a few manatees, crabs, fish and house shoe crabs too around the pier. Definitely would come again.
Arrived here for a three-night tent stay at spot 153. The campground is easily accessible from the highway, and a breeze to check in. Friendly staff. Dumpsters behind the main office. All roads are one-way counterclockwise. The bathroom and laundry room are about 100 meters from spot 153. Both are clean. There's a nice pavilion overlooking the water inside the eastern loop. There's a good size, fenced-in, leash-free dog park next to the water. The water views are beautiful at sunrise. There's a pier for fishing and just serene eastern observation toward Cape Canaveral. There's a kayak launch ramp as well.
Spot 153 was perfectly partially shaded, with a mix of sand and grass, and it was level. The only critters seen here are playful squirrels. RV spots can be quite close to each other, but not many of their inhabitants were seen outside during these chilly, mid-December days when the temperature dipped to 40F at night, and high 50's in the day. All spots have electric and picnic table. The water spigot at 153 was about two inches from the ground. Why?
The only downside of the campground is its proximity to railroad tracks and airport. The noise seemed to be constant on weekdays.
We stayed here for 3 nights right after labor day. We thought we would see a launch but it was postponed but this local is ideal for watching.
The facilities are clean and the staff are friendly.
We are going back at Christmas time.
This place has a woodsy feel but it's right off a main road. Really close to the Space Center and easy access to SR528 and about an hour from the theme parks.
We have camped here several times and love the sites and the views. However the sites near the water flood in heavy rains.
Great location to walk down to the pier and watch the rockets launch from the space center. Nice swimming pool, store and laundry 3 on site. Ice big camp sites with lots of shade. Dog park and showers. Fish from the pier and small boat launch from park.
This is an easy place to put in your kayak and paddle to see the bioluminescent organisms that are there in late summer. We paddled with dolphins too good shade. No hmoks allowed.
This campground is right on the river, and has both RV and tent camping sites. The lanes are rather narrow, and it’s all one way, so depending where you’re at, you may end up circling the whole campground just to take your trash out.
We were there in late spring/early summer for a month, and it was okay. They do allow long term tent campers, so you’ll see lots of tents with huge tarps over them.
This campground fills up on the weekends, so it’s busier, more crowded, and a little loud.
I would probably not recommend this for long term, but it is one of the most reasonably priced campgrounds (that aren’t 55+) in the area.
