From Hwy 17, access this park from B Street (paved), not D Street (dirt road). The park is not fancy, very desert-like environment. Lots of trees but no shade. The potable faucet water comes out of the ground at about 95F. The water source is likely linked to the hot springs pool they have here. They are closed Thursday's, the day we arrived. Gate was shut, had to drive to another gate, really confusing .
