Peaceful, Beautiful, and Spacious

We decided to stop here on the last leg of our two week Colorado trip. We had originally planned to stay at the handcart campground, but realized there were 20 dispersed campsites that were just as nice if not better! Sites 1-6 are off the road headed to handcart campground. Sites 7 - 20 are after the campground and would need four wheel drive to access. You also have to drive through a small stream. Sites are labeled. There are no toilets or water, but all sites are a close walk/drive to two other campgrounds that have vault toilets and pump water. We loved camping next to the stream and even found Gold Flecks! We brought our four wheelers and atvs. The main trail was closed when we were there, but there were a few trails to ride and our six year old was even able to drive his four wheeler as traffic was so light. We stayed in spot 4. Only negative was that someone who camped prior to us left their garbage in the stream that we had to clean up.
