N Boulder Creek Dispersed Camping is located in the Arapaho and [Roosevelt National Forest](https://thedyrt.com/camping/colorado/near/arapaho-and-roosevelt-national-forests-and-pawnee-national-grassland)s and Pawnee National Grassland. The area features forested terrain with elevations that can influence temperatures, ranging from 30°F to 80°F depending on the season. Nearby attractions include the scenic trails of the Indian Peaks Wilderness and the historic town of Nederland.

Free camping (dispersed) is allowed on most national forest lands except in highly developed areas - such as trailheads, campgrounds and picnic sites - and in some of our most visited places. Be sure to check for regulations in advance and look for signs in the area to indicate if camping is allowed.

Some areas allow camping in designated sites only.

Know Before You Go

Check the weather and road closures before heading up. 
Follow Leave No Trace principles. There are no facilities or trash receptacles. Pack out what you pack in. 
Make sure camping is allowed. Many lands within the national forest boundary are private or otherwise owned. Check that you’re on National Forest lands: maps.
Don't stay too long. Camping is limited to 14 days within any continuous 30-day period at any location within the same 20-mile radius. See Order
Plan on building a campfire? Campfire restrictions can occur any time of year. Check for fire restrictions and if you build a campfire, know how to extinguish it.

Easy spot to get too off the road

Nice views, plenty of space. Dirt road for
The last mile or so but it’s in great condition. 

Secluded but not hard to get to

Very seclude, easy to access. I saw about 10 different pull in sites, maybe more. Never found a creek or water but there are some cute cows nearby! Wildflowers we’re crazy 7/3/23

Great spot!

I loved this spot! it’s only about 10 minutes from Nederland and 45 minutes from boulder. There are mountains and aspen forests. and wildflowers everywhere! i also saw elk nearby. the road isn’t terrible but there are some rocks and bumps. i made it in a volkswagen tiguan while towing a camper. i couldn’t get super far down the road but i made it to a nice spot on the top of a hill. It got a bit chilly at night but not too bad! I also had 1 bar of 5g with t-mobile. i recommend for mountain peacefulness! 

Absolutely beautiful 

Have now camped here twice, in June &amp; late September, both on Friday nights, and it has been perfect. Loads of well spaced spots, secluded, gorgeous views.
