We had a quiet spot in the Oraibi Loop near a restroom where we had views of the mountains and prairie down below. Lots of deer nearby and we even saw an owl after the sunset. Great camp store. Hot water for showers down by the store.

Beautiful drive up to the campground lent way to being surrounded by tons of wildlife (deer and owls!) and unforgettable mountain landscapes. We got in late but finding our envelope was easy. Picked a great spot in our designated loop with no neighbors

My first time camping at a NP and I loved it! So many sites available for non-electric campers on a Saturday in June. Sites and amenities were clean and accessible. Campground is close to a few trails. Unfortunately the WiFi did not work at the restrooms, but it did at the showers. Staff was so kind (s/o to Cheryl)! Definitely recommend the all you can eat pancakes at the cafe for breakfast! 🥞

Campground is ideally located in an area without other easy options to get to Mesa Verde’s dwellings. We stayed on Taos loop with a tent and roof tent for one night, and used showers and laundry.

Tent pads are level, parking sites are not, but not all that far off. Bathrooms were functional- tap water is cold and potable. Sites are moderately spaced and about 50% are shaded by scrub oak.

After hours check in is not clear, but there is a sign at the camp store that gives the basics- grab a sit without a reservation tag and pay the next day. Sites are expensive as others have noted. Campers were arriving until around midnight which was pretty disruptive, but that could have been because we were near the front of the loop.

Showers are hot and private but certainly not a spa. Laundry is reasonably priced but only half the machines were working.

TLDR- Another camper summed up the campground as “hit or miss”. Spot on.

Stayed in early Sept ‘23. Convenient to be inside the park for getting up to the top for our tours. Not a lot of vegetation shade but privacy was decent and our site backed up into a bit of some woods. I don’t have the site number anymore (assigned at check in) but we were in the Zuni loop near the bathrooms. To this day I think about the Jerusalem beetle we saw here because it freaked me out but also remains the most interest bug I’ve ever seen. WiFi available, breakfast for purchase by check-in as well as a camp store and laundry.

We were happy to have a small motorhome as we watched larger trailers, vehicles struggle to find a spot and get level. Okay value with the senior pass, but somewhat overpriced for others. Positive is decent free showers. Still 20+ miles from the tours.

We dry camped for 8 days. There is water and flushing toilets near camp site. Surrounded by incredible rolling hills and mountains. Incredible night sky. Approx 6 miles in from hwy. Store, free showers and a self service fuel station.

Thanks to the non-government workers at MVNP some of the services were still available! Campground offers many different options for sites with flush toilets nearby most sites. Showers at central location. 24 hour laundry. 2 restaurant/gift shop locations. Of course the scenery is beautiful!

Deer walking around on the campsite is always nice. It is a big campsite but very spread out. Showers and laundry were a bit far to walk, so we drove there. Toilets near every site.

Had a great couple days here. Lots of sites. Campground loops have flush toilets and water, as well as WiFi modems. There are central free showers and coin-operated laundry. There are several shops and restaurants throughout the park. Great historical sites! The campground has lots of mule deer roaming thru in the morning and evening. Many sites do not have much shade.

Very nice place. Lots of good options and tent camping is choose yourself. Flushing toilets, free showers, and a coin laundry on-site along with a place for breakfast and a general store. Would stay again if in the area.

We stayed in a full hook up site. Some of the sites were a little tricky to get in for big campers. We were in site 171 and have a 33 ft 5th wheel. We liked being in Mesa Verde Park. Free showers. The people running the camp store were friendly.

This campground is the last stop where you can access to with a camper. Sleep here and you will already be inside mesa verde national park. It is green all around, there are ranger talks in the evening, and wild animals coming by your camping spot. A lot of shade and very practical restrooms everywhere on the loops

We booked and stayed 2 nights in the “dry rv” campground. No electric. No cell service. Pretty views.

Showers are at the main office and were exceptionally clean and good water pressure.

Website acted like there was one spot left…. There were actually many. Good spots, WiFi, fire pits and metal picnic tables.

We stayed here one night in the Ute loop. We couldn’t pick our site, so we had to check in at the camp store at arrival. We got there around 4pm and check in took about 20 minutes- there were a few groups ahead in line and the process/instruction spiel took a while for each person. Camp site had some standing water from leaky spigot but seemed to be the only site that did. Full hookup was great, quiet campground. Clean bathrooms. A little overgrown at campsites. Nothing special but worked for what we needed!

A national park campground with free showers!!! There's laundry and a store as well. Ranger talks at the amphitheater. You get to pick your spot out of what is still open when you arrive (at least for tents, not sure about RVs due to sizing). Located 4 miles into the park.

This campground was very convenient for our 2 day visit to Mesa Verde. Sites were close together with not much privacy. Shower house was clean but everything else did not feel exceptionally well taken care of. Staff were somewhat helpful but didn’t seem super knowledgeable. Other campers were lots of fun to visit with as they came from all over the world. The social aspect was pretty fun.

Highly recommend the far view site and farming terrace hikes. Also the hike down and back from step house was awesome!

There were lots of sites in mid May probably bc it is cold. We left a night early bc we're not prepared for below freezing. The hot showers were amazing. Free and unlimited hot water. Just not enough hooks. Our site did not have a bear box.

Dry camped here. You can pick your site. Managed by Aramark services. They have flush toilets around the sites.

Campgrounds are gorgeous. If you’re in the lumi loop you’re a walk to the camp store. Bathrooms are close by. The all you can eat pancakes for $10 is a pretty good steal. Staying here makes for an easy morning before some ranger led tours. The park is big. If you have the option to stay here, stay here

The campground hadn’t officially opened yet, all the facilities were closed.. First come first serve. Arrived on a Tuesday. Camp sites clean with bear boxes at almost all the sites. A group of Mule Deer hanging around

While kind of on the pricier side for campgrounds I really enjoyed my 2 nights there in early Oct 24. Easy access to get on the road to the cliff dwellings early in the day, flush bathrooms, tons of sites, trails nearby, a little center with a store, cafe, gas, and most importantly showers. 

They let you pick your site which is nice so I got a site with a flat spot for my rooftop tent, but some sites are definately more geared to tent camping, but there are tons of site options.

Would stay again.

Two nights here. Boondocks go, no water needed, but great location, restrooms nearby. Very peaceful.

Fine for a night. Didn’t think it was anything special but there are showers. Good price

Beautiful campsite, three mule deer strolled through, munching their dinner as we cooked ours. Well appointed store on site along with shower and laundry facilities. Campground had flush toilets— an appreciated amenity.

Pros: staying in MVNP!, flushing toilets and running (fresh) water everywhere, a nice variety of spots to choose from, nice showers available by the trading post

Cons: a bit pricey for what you get (40 bucks for no hookup), distance from the shower/shop requires driving, absolutely zero cell service whatsoever

Good showers, some of the camp sites have decent WiFi connection, fairly quiet, and wildlife (deer and prairie dogs) in camp side. Toilets not the best, lots of wasps
