Urban campground

This is an urban type KOA. More on the outer side of town on a side street off Hwy 50. The KOA is at the end of the road. There's a storage facility across from the KOA. We didn't even notice it. I didn't think the neighborhood was particularly "sketchy". Just a working class neighborhood.

Check in was smooth. Very friendly staff. Able to give me advice on the best restaurants in town. Very clean restrooms& showers. There is a code to get in.

I used the laundromat& it was fine.

Our site was typical KOA. Really any commercial campground has sites on the tight side. Mercury vapor lights shining in my camper all night. Not a fan! There are seasonal sites also. The pool was closed for the season. We spent 2 nights here. We were happy with the campground, but the constant jake braking from truckers on Hwy 50 was all day/all night. Saw a sign that said there was a noise ordinance, but obviously not enforced. We camped at Montrose/ Black Canyon Nat'l Park KOA Journey in a Travel Trailer.
