Description
At roughly 8,750 feet, McClure Pass marks the high point of Colorado Highway 133 through Gunnison National Forest, and the gravel pullout at the pass summit serves as an informal dispersed overnight stop for travelers crossing the divide. Space is tight — the flat area fits a small number of rigs and is not well-suited to groups or large convoys — and through-traffic on the highway means the occasional honk in the night. No cell signal is available at this elevation.
