They Gave My Site Away!

I was passing through Grand Junction on a trip north from Montrose. I called ahead to make sure they accepted tent reservations since their website was not working very quickly. The person on duty in the office said they did and they would hold a space for me with my KOA email I had on file from use at numerous other KOA campgrounds.

I drove up and arrived around the time I had let them know I would be there only to find out not only did they not reserve my space with my email but they didn’t even document I had called earlier in the day. The poor guy who got me that afternoon didn’t know what to do. He looked at the caller ID and saw I had in fact called and just kept apologizing because there wasn’t a spot left at the campground that night.

I called to follow up with management the following day and the customer service itself was terrible. I ended up sending a complaint to KOA corporate about it.

From what I could tell the campground looked decent but unfortunately the incident stopped me from being able to fully appreciate it. And I felt so bad for the guy working that evening because he seemed ill equipped to handle anything of that sort.
