This is my go-to spot when I'm approaching Crested Butte from the front range on a Friday. It's located on gorgeous Taylor River, literally sits on the mountain bike trailhead for Doctor's Park, and is about 20 minutes south of the Butte. If you're camping alone, it's nice to have a park ranger nearby – and these ones are always nice.
