...but totally worth the trouble. The three miles from Tincup, Colorado were challenging for my 2017 CRV AWD...but we took it slow and crawled our way over and around the 12" rock covered road. Our reward was an excellent campsite at the top of the loop that had an amazing view of Mirror Lake. We arrived at 830am and plopped our chairs down by the lake as we watched the campers at site 7 pack up and leave. We then claimed our site. There was no water available. No host, bring your own wood. The "bathroom" is the only reason this campground gets 4 instead of 5 stars. It hadn't been cleaned in several days and was so filthy and overrun with flies it was unusable. But other than that...I would stag again in a heartbeat.
