Good stay

We didn't particularly care for the area, it was not far enough out to feel like in serene nature but still far to drive to anything. Well kept campground, enjoyed the mini golf (probably our favorite TT mini golf so far) but weren't too majorly impressed overall. It didn't help that it rained a lot and the streets turned into lakes - so not only did you have geese on your roof but also right outside your door. ;)

Busy park

They ask for reg, insurance, on both truck and trailer when you arrive. We Stayed In spot 338 and had absolutely no cell coverage for our Verizon phones. The Bathrooms and showers take a code to get in. Not sure what thats all about, they were clean. The Geese in the park are a hoot! It Appears the park is VERY residential now a days. Not a camping environment like it was years ago. Dirt bikes, electric scooters, golf carts with loud music, cars literally cruising the park with loud music, people using leaf blowers you name it we saw it. If your going there to get away this is the wrong park very busy and noisy all hours.

It's ok but not really camping

If you want an RV park, than this is ok. I do not consider this camping. Each rv is very close to the next and it feels like a mobile home park with semi permanent residents. There are geese everywhere and a green colored stream running through the place. Not for me. Their store was closed down until...? There were lots of children playing, biking, etc.

Nature abounds

We enjoyed the peaceful surrounding. No highway noice. Beautiful mature trees and canals. Lovely Canadian geese.

Good Family Fun!

We enjoyed the pool, watching the ducks in the pond, and the kids loved the basketball court. Some parts closed on certain days- store, jacuzzi, community room. Big spots with room to set up, but this place is booked and it’s mid week late September. Definitely my favorite Thousand Trails so far… lots of long timers/ leased sites on the other side of the park. Friendly staff and overall friendly neighbors too!

Nice weekend get away

This campground is part of the “Thousand Trails” RV time share co-op. We are non-members and lined up our weekend stay a few weeks in advance. If we didn’t get reservations in advance there was no chance of getting a spot. All 500+ sites were booked solid (late April - early May). We live in Orange County and tried this spot for a quick out of town trip. We didn’t hit the road till late., so We showed up at dusk. The major downside to this park is they don’t assign any of the sites. It’s based off a “First come, first serve” the problem with showing up late is we spent 45mins driving around this large RV park trying to find and open site. We ended up in the sites that were electrical only, all of the other 495 sites are full hook ups.

The sites are large and will fit most large 5th wheels and diesel pusher motor homes. Some sites have 50 amp but not all.

Two pools, club house, general store (closed b/c of covid) tons of mature trees for shade. BBQ stations at most sites, tons of water foul playing around and honking all night long.

Central of southern California

In the back of a small town 2 miles behind a stater brother's. Most sites are near level on gravel and close together. Laundry uses quarters or a third party app to pay. Geese send birds roam around sites. Menifee is central to the southern California mountains of north south and east in addition to the beaches 1-2hrs west.

If you need a place to stay

This is a Thousand Trails/Encore campground. Which isn’t a bad thing, but, they do need to upgrade the electrical system. They don’t have enough 50amp sites and not all of them are always working. This park is first come / first served and they don’t prohibit a 30amp rig from taking a 50amp site, so you can see the problem. Now don’t get me wrong, we have been there 5 times in the last 2 years and will go some more, especially with the grandkids, but we have never been able to get in a 50amp site. There are a lot of positives at Wilderness Lakes, like, you feel like your in the wilderness, lots of shade, 2 nice big pools, store, snack shack, propane and more. If you’re a 30amp rig, you’ll love it here, need 50amp as long as you don’t need both A/C’s you’ll love it too.

Party central

This place was hopping and popping on the weekend. Fishing, loud music and tons of weekend campers and kids. Big resort, open pool and hot tub was nice given limitations.

Great Time!

I had a reservation at Wilderness Lakes, and I was a day early, so they let me in! Off to a good start! Full hook-ups, laundry and showers about 50 yards away, no matter which way you go. Laundry is done with an app, and pretty cheap, $1.75 wash, $1.75 dry. Nice canals running through the park, with ducks and their ducklings trailing behind. I chose to stay at the far end, away from the crowds. I got a great site, with no one on either side, and 2 neighbors across the street. While I was setting up, one of my awning screen poles broke. I called ShadePro, and they were out the next morning with a new one. Management seems very friendly, there’s a store at the front of the park, and a nice one mile hike around the perimeter of the park. Unseasonably warm the past couple days, so used my AC for a couple hours in the afternoon, to cool Riley and I down. The internet pretty much sucks. Good for email, and very little surfing, but way too slow to stream Netflix, etc. I just put on some music and relax, or throw in a DVD at night. Plenty of trash receptacles, playground for kids, mini golf, and much more. They even have cabins to rent. Will definitely come back!

Great Location

Stayed at Wilderness Lakes for a weekend and was surprised at how peaceful it was compared to how crowded it was. Other campers and staff were friendly and helpful during our stay. My only complaint is the bugs and duck poop everywhere. We had a spot next to the water which could have contributed to the infestation but at the same time a little more cleaning could also assist. There is no WiFi at this location and my Verizon cell service was choppy.

Geese Poop!!

My biggest complaint with this resort is the geese, which apparently are always there, are loud and their poop is everywhere. The sites are also really packed in. What I did like is the pool, it was clean and plenty of room.

First come, first serve

This is an interesting campground. It's the first time I've come across one that doesn't have assigned stalls.

When you enter the park, they give you a map and you drive around and choose the site you like and park.

The park itself has many amenities like an adult pool with spa, family pool and spa, fitness center, playgrounds for the kids, a pickleball court, a baseball field, a dog run, a big general store that has everything you may need including foods or RV accessories and wood.

There are a couple pounds and ducks and geese are walking all over the grounds. There are lots of places to eat in the city including Walmart and Target nearby.

The water pressure is nice and high here, plus I get signal from T-mobile.

Wilderness Lakes

Very conscientious to Temecula Wine Country , shopping and Orange County just over the Ortega hey. , just do not take rug over that, instead take the 15 Frwy to the 91 To the 5.

park has gotten lots better since dairy farm has moved but still has a bit of fly problem due to close by chicken farms and watermelon fields that they let fruit rot last summer! Has pool. And serve food and in park store! Busy spot as lots of people from Cali live in park system! Sometimes hard to get 50 amp Service!
