Scenic with friendly staff
There’s not a bad spot to camp here. Even the ones listed as “no view” have a view! Very friendly and helpful staff. I like that they keep you informed with texts. Store has a good selection of food and gifts.

They have ports potty’s and a nice stretch of beach between houses that you can enjoy privately
Perfect weekend getaway for the family! Loved the store and how close to the beach this place was. Will definitely be coming back!!

I absolutely love this campground, it’s perfectly situated in between the Malibu pier area (to your left) Dume, Zuma, and more beaches (to the right), + a lovely small beach across the street… oh let’s not forget Malibu Seafood is right next door! It’s pricey but you can buddy up with people the tent sites are big and permit more than one!
Newish to California and spending the summer on the coast, next up is Thornhill for a little on-the-beach camping :)
It’s been chilly so being protected by the canyon is pretty sweet. I’m coming back!

we stayed in the tent campsites. beware the tent sites do NOT have electrical hookups. you also have to park and carry your things to your campsite. luckily, they have wheelbarrows to make that easier.
woodfires are not allowed but propane fires are. there are showers, flush toilets, and water sources in the campground. the bathrooms have a lock and code needed for entry. the campsites are all pretty close together but no one was there when we arrived on a weekday. it didn’t get busy until people started showing up on saturday for the holiday weekend.
when you first drive in, there is a convenience store up front where you check in.

We enjoyed our one night stay we had a great spot overlooking the bay. The owners have a great plan and it looks like they are achieving their goal!

Location, location location! Every spot has a great view of the Pacific Ocean from high upon a cliff! General store is well stocked and there’s a park to lounge or play games on the cliffs edge! Stay here one night and treat yourself!

I have been on a 3 month trip and stayed at 22 different campgrounds. Malibu RV Resort has the best views for the price, hands down.

The park was beautiful and so was the location. The park was clean and comfortably, and so were the toilets and showers. Staff was friendly and the office had a convenient shop located in there.
In my opinion the money was well worth it for the beautiful location and the clean spots!

Anyone with a disability and/or a service dog.. do not try to stay here. They refused us entry because they didn’t approve of her breed. I explained that she is a service dog that has been trained and her handler, require her in order to provide life saving measures. They refused. I let them know they have broken state and federal law and it was probably a mistake on their part and should reconsider. They refused. I hesitated posting about them until clearance from disabled Americans discrimination attorney approved. Appears I am good to go in letting everyone know what they have done. Do not, under any circumstances, spend your money at a campsite that outright discrimates against those with disabilities. Disgusting 🤢

We had a Mountain View site but you can still enjoy the view on the ocean. The parking is a challenge when the park is busy.

We're working full-timers with a 27' trailer and full-size truck who stayed here for a week in March. We had a front-row spot to the ocean with full hookups. Our spot was very, very tight for us, and to back in, we had to ask our neighbor to move his Jeep. We were just able to park our truck alongside the camper—the alternative was parking just 50 yards away, but with our nose jutting into the narrow campground road by a couple of feet. It's very much the full LA experience in this way.
The campground, thanks to rain, was mostly an unusable mud pit. Sunshine would've given us a few short trails good for walking dogs but not much else. We had friends stop by to see the rig and got charged a $10 parking fee...which I get, but yeah. You're pretty isolated: walking isn't a great option, and given cars blasting on the PCH, neither is biking.
I'd recommend this to folks who HAVE to be on the Malibu coast with full hookups. Otherwise, I'd choose state parks down the road (still Malibu) or, if you're looking for a base camp to explore LA, look elsewhere.
Great location, spectacular views, kid & pet friendly. Lots of Extras!
Best part is the kindness of the Malibu Beach RV Resort Staff.
Priceless!!!
Happy J Stewart
Stunning ocean views at every site. Each site has full hookups, level, gravel with a large range of different sizes. Showers and laundry room on site.
The highlight of my trip was the staff they were all extremely helpful I had multiple issues while I Stayed there since I am first time camper thought I’d eventually bother somebody but they all were genuine and positive. The views are amazing most definitely coming back for another trip. Highly recommend
Get a spot away from the HWY.
Short walk to the beach and a short drive to Santa Monica Pier.

It’s expensive, but we loved it. Premium ocean view upper level. Great views, full hookups. We had double wide site which was really nice up top.
There’s a store with lots of RV Equipment. Small selection of snacks.
Upper level bathroom needs a little work. Shower stalls only have curtains and the door can’t be locked while in the shower. Anyone (male or female) has the code but no locking stall.
There are complaints on here about the walk to the beach. Those statements are true, but considering you’re in Malibu, on a hillside, and route 1 is between the park and beach, and there are really no other options (unless you’re lucky enough to get booked into a booked solid state park) We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Short Dog walk trail if you have dogs.
We ended up being without power for 2 days, and paid premium price on a weekend. It would’ve been nice if they’d offered us some sort of a discount because we did have to use our propane, but we also understand the issue was out of their control. But even a $10/night discount for the inconvenience would be been nice, when paying $150/night…

Vriendelijk personeel. Kleine plekken. Zee zicht nog duurder . plek 90 koste 96 dollar!
There's really not a bad spot in this campground. It's a little pricey to camp here but it's Malibu so it's expected. Easy access to Pacific Coast Highway, Santa Monica and Venice Beach. Staff is super friendly and accommodating.

Site has a lot of sites. High up on hill. No beach walking access. Must walk down steep paved access road from park., and cross 4 lane busy highway.
The RV resort has electric and water at your sites. There is drinking water, propane filling and dumping area, a mini mart and a laundry facility. The bathrooms are clean with flush toilets and showers. If the place was full it would feel cramped, however I was there during the week with about 1/3 filled. It is difficult to get to the beach. Once going down the hill from the park, you walk about 2 football fields to cross safely at a light. Otherwise you dodge traffic on a very busy road. The road noise isn’t too bad, tho it wasn’t great. The prices are a bit steep, however you get a lot of amenities. Everything was nice and clean, I just wished the beach access was better.

Nice getaway. Dog friendly!
Wow this place is spectacular. It’s all about the views. You are lulled to sleep by the crashing waves of the Pacific. Our “partial view” site was actually full view (although they do have a rule about vans being self contained and our wasn’t, so that awkward). Lots of families and dogs here. Everyone friendly. Bathrooms very nice. Camp store has lots of goodies. You can walk to the beach if you walk down the driveway and cross the PCH.
Very nice resort. We went for the Premium Spots. Great views of the ocean and surrounding area

Most amazing views of the pacific from the ocean view sites. Friendly staff at check in and wonderful experience, even despite the pouring rain.
Fantastic view mixes with a clean and simple park that has all the necessary amenities. Sites are tightly packed but the spectacular views and open sky of the ocean more than make up for it.
Great place to get away from LA for the weekend or anytime. Awesome views!! And the staff was great very welcoming and helpful to me this place is a gem if you get a chance you should check it out.

I have seen a few reviews about the poor customer service at this RV park. That was not my experience for the four nights that I stayed there. The employees from the front desk to janitorial services were all very kind and helpful. I didn’t have any interaction with management, because it wasn’t necessary. I stayed in the site V2 overlooking the ocean in a 21 foot van. The spot was a little uneven but easily fixed. I loved the views, location, and vibe. I didn’t see any Trump cult flags. Bonus in my book Very clean.

We didn’t end up actually staying here because this RV Park does not allow custom built rigs of any kind. This park only allows major brand manufactured RVs and this review is only here to make that known.
This is a great little campground just north of Malibu, California, and right off of the 101. So yes, the freeway is RIGHT. THERE. But once you turn into the campground you begin a steady climb up that puts some distance between your space and the freeway. I can only speak to tent camping here, but the tent camping is at the very top of the campground, and so you have gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean. There are a few restaurants and a gas station within walking distance of the campground, the bathrooms are clean, and, perhaps the best part, once night falls all you can hear is the sound of waves crashing on the shore. I love this little campground - it's not primitive or in the sticks by any means. But if you're wanting to experience the Malibu-LA area without necessarily staying downtown, this is a wonderful option.
