I agree with Shannon C that High Creek Camp is a great campground for those wanting to get some experience on overnight backpacking/camping. Hard to beat the seclusion and beauty! Since this camp is located about a 3-4 hour hike from the trailhead, you will need to be fully prepared. Make sure to apply for your permit a few weeks in advance.
