Cell service drops to zero at this 24-site Forest Service campground, creating a disconnected mountain experience that many campers appreciate. Located within Six Rivers National Forest, Fish Lake Campground operates seasonally from mid-June through September at $10 per night. The rough access road leads to sites that accommodate RVs up to 28 feet, though the terrain varies between forested and open areas.
A trail circles the lake for hiking and fishing access, while nearby Blue Lake offers additional exploration opportunities. Pit toilets stay clean according to recent visitors, and the standard amenities include drinking water, picnic tables, and trash service. Mosquitoes can be thick during peak season, so insect repellent proves essential for comfortable camping.
