The place is clean and quiet. Our camp site was very spacious, and it was easy to back in our teardrop trailer. Restroom was cleaned every day, but wished there was some sort of light in there. It is dark in there even in the day. Camp hosts are friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, we had a really great time, my wife and I and our two labradors. We will return.
The campground is located in some lush pines In Angeles forest. It’s nothing too spectacular but well maintained and a pretty area. Most of the sites are spaced out fairly decently. I would recommend for a quick one or two night escape from the city.

This place is amazing. The bathrooms are very convenient, the water stations make cleaning and refills extremely easy, the hosts drive through constantly to make sure things are in order, people are respectful and the area is close to a few ships if needed
Awesome little campground. Tons of healthy trees all around. Cool little loop hiking trail connected to the campground. Clean flush toilets and hot water showers!
Came to Dogwood for my 1st ever camping trip. I felt this would be the safest place to learn what works and ultimately IF camping was for me. I loved it! We ran out of water after 1 day and conveniently, Dogwood had water stations. This place is amazing and the people who work there are so nice!
Dogwood Campground is peaceful, sites are a good size and clean. We spent four nights the first week of October at Dogwood and the weather was in the low 70’s during the day and high 40’s at night. The main road is near, and you will hear some road noise but only noticed it when a loud truck or motorcycles was driving by. The Rim of the World school is also nearby, and games played on the field can be heard from time to time but does not run late. The pine trees are thick in some areas and at our site#77 we were happy to have solar panels we could move around to catch the sun. The panels on the roof were not getting much sun at all. Large picnic tables, fire rings and bear boxes are at each site. Site#77 shows that a RV up to 30 feet allowed. Our 20 feet trailer and full-size truck just barely fit in the space and the site was extremely slanted. The tongue of the trailer was about an inch from the ground once we were level. There is a loop that has electric hookups only. Waterspouts can be found throughout the campground and when leaving the campground, you will find a dump station with a$10 fee. The camp hosts were very friendly and cleaned the bathrooms and showers often as well as clean and raked each site for the next camper. Places to see: Lake Arrowhead Village– 5 minutes away Lake Gregory– 15 minutes away Big Bear Lake– 1 hour away
Campsites are well spaced clean awesome showers are hot. Staff is super cool. Town is close camp host is cool. Going back as soon as they reopen
This park has something for everyone. I used a site that provided electric. There are tent and dry sites throughout. While the sites are everywhere, they are spaced in a way that feels private. There are bear boxes, picnic tables and fire rings at each site. The bathrooms were clean, with flushing toilets. Places to get water are all over. There are so many hiking opportunities for every level.
This campground has so much to offer! The sites are well placed making a full campground fell spacious. I used an electric site which is integrated with tent and nonelectric sites. Each campsite has a bear box to store food. The restrooms are clean with flush toilets, along with soap and water sinks. There are many areas with water stations to fill up your containers. There is so many hiking opportunities from beginners to expert. Each trail I used offered lovely views. This campground is huge, yet felt homey. My cat watched the squirrels play on nearby trees from the RV. I drive a 19 foot RV van which backed up easily into our campsite, and had plenty of room to spare. I really enjoyed camping here!
The campsite has running water, fire rings, and best of all showers! I stayed at site #63 which was right in front of the showers/bathroom so it was super nice going back and forth late at night. The campsite itself is very clean and well managed. There were a lot of bugs but you gotta live with that when camping.
My husband and I tent camped here during the week for 2 days. This campground is gorgeous. With how brown and dreary everything always looks at this time of year in this drought ridden state, this campground is so gorgeously green and lush! Most camp sites that I saw are pretty big and all sites have plenty of trees. There’s a good amount of space between the sites with some being more secluded then others. There are both hook up and non hook up sites. There are plenty of clean restrooms throughout the campground as well as showers that are now open again. There’s a really nice, 3 mile loop trail in the campground and another close by as well. We liked the campground so much that we made reservations while we were there for next month.
I never heard of the Dogwood campground, found it using this app.. and I'm glad I did! I booked my site on a Monday afternoon, and drove an hour and 45 minutes the very next day. The moment you drive in.. you are taken back by how lush and green the campground is. Tall shady pine trees EVERYWHERE! The campsite is beautifully maintained and very very clean. Staying during the week meant less ppl, it felt as if I had the entire forest all to myself. I booked site #77.. it has to be in the top 3 if not the best site in the entire place! It accommodated my pop up trailer and my dog nicely! Super clean and well stocked bathrooms, not a single piece of trash anywhere, other than in the supplied dumpsters near by. The showers were not available on my visit, but they have them. I would 1000% reccomend Dogwood to my friends and family.
This campground has the atmosphere of camping in the forest with a couple of hiking trails and lots of shade. Clean restrooms. The camp was quiet and I was able to take my dog with me.
Huge campground amongst the trees, right where the 18 & 189 meet, making getting here easy and quick. Most sites have several flattened out (mostly flat) areas for tents. Fire pits and picnic tables at every site. Depending on your site you can hear traffic go by occasionally, but otherwise a fantastic campground. All the sites are large and we'll spaced from others, most are shaded as well. Facilities were well kept and clean. Access to the Enchanted loop nature trail is at the back end of the camp and offers some great views.
Dogwood is gorgeous. Beautiful, large, private campsites. I didn’t have much interaction with the staff at when I did they were polite. We were very happy with our site (#5) however after riding around the entire campground on our bikes, we realized we had one of the worst sites!!! Lol Just goes to show even the bad sites are great. Bathrooms were clean. However, I do wish all campground bathrooms had more benches or shelves for you to place your toiletries. Maybe even hooks to hang your towels would help a lot. Bathrooms didn’t have hand soap for washing hands. I understand most campsites don’t, however during COVID it would be nice to have it for your campers. Honestly I would rate Dogwood a 4.5- as there were a few minor things but overall it’s as good as it gets for campgrounds.
This is a great campground with nearby amenities. You will hear the helicopter from time to time since the helipad is on the nearby hilltop. Can get a bit dusty. Bathrooms and showers are clean and maintained. We've been there many times. Wish they had RV hookups as we've moved from tent to trailer recently.

Three families went on this trip and we really liked how much greenery surrounded us. I mean you couldn’t see you neighbors which was great. The showers were clean and so were the bathrooms which is always a plus. We are definitely going back soon.
Overall we were very impressed with this campground. It is a very large campground, however there are a couple different loops so it is spread over a large area. Our site was a single so it only fit one car. There is extra parking available for additional cars that we could have used, but if we had a trailer we wouldn’t have fit. So make sure you get a site that fits your needs! There are a lot of great sites surrounded by trees in the middle of the campground where we stayed. The upper sites don’t seem to have as much shade as they are at the top of the hill. The campground has flush toilets, showers and paved roads. So it’s great for first time campers or glampers. The staff was very friendly and the entire area is well Maintained. There are even a couple small hiking trails within the campground for some fun exploration.
Spent an overnight there, very well maintained, clean with drinking water, showers, flush toilets. And 1-2 trailheads leading out of the site. If you like camping but prefer a bit more “civilized” amenities, this site is perfect. Plenty of shade, respectful neighbors and regularly patrolled by the rangers. Very cute spot. Bit on the pricier side, but it makes sense with everything it has to offer.
We stayed here for Father’s Day weekend and we thoroughly satisfied. Our site was 71 and although secluded would not recommend for toddlers(I have two toddlers). The site was sloped and the level pad was small. Would be great for a couple with a 4-6 person tent seeking a little more privacy than other sites. The site as well as the campground was spotless. Very well maintained. Bathroom was across the road as well as potable water. Trails literally out the back of the campsite. There’s a little off shoot from the campground that had a large flat spot which would be cool to set up a tent if you needed to set up multiple tents. There are better sites but you’ll have to explore the campground and find those yourself 😉. There’s a few cons. You can hear cars out on the 18 when you’re laying quietly in your tent. Not a nuisance but takes away the feel a bit. The other con was pulling in and out can be a little sketch due to a simi blind turn. Other than that I look forward to my next visit here with my family.
I love this campground because they have a lot of amenities that don’t seem to change the scenery. They have electric and water hook up for RVs in a few sites that are reservable. The majority of the sites are primitive, and they have showers and toilet buildings around. The campground is paved well forested so it seems like your more alone than most campgrounds.
Close to Arrowhead and Twinning Peaks
We stopped here for one night and I can't wait to go back again! It was beautiful. The campsites were nicely sized. The toilets and showers were kept clean.

My family has been to this campground many times. We usually go for Memorial Day weekend. It can be cold, but the bees aren’t there yet. There is a high school bordering on one side. This isn’t a problem since we have gone on weekends only.
