This campground is easy to get to for local Orange County residents. It’s clean, nice sites and has clean facilities. Not all sites are shady but many are. It can be pretty hot in the summer.

We just hit the end of the season before it got too hot. It is often windy. We had hookups and used our AC every day. The palm canyon hike is really nice. The sites aren’t huge and it’s definitely desert camping. The bathrooms are clean.

My family has camped here a few times. Two times were spring break and one was in the summer. During spring break we saw whales passing by from the beach. Last year we went in August and were sad to see there was still oil on the beach.

My family has been to this campground many times. We usually go for Memorial Day weekend. It can be cold, but the bees aren’t there yet. There is a high school bordering on one side. This isn’t a problem since we have gone on weekends only.
