Definition of Dispersed Camping

Everything about this site is not only free, but literally free to park and camp anywhere. There are private properties around, so just double check, but for the most part its wife open land to camp. Also currently in a fire ban, but that should be getting lifted in October. So campfires would be a great idea out here as well.

Awesome

Loved camping here, my fiancé and I went to a show at Pappy and Harriet’s and afterwards set up camp here. Easy to find and you have SO much space! There were a bunch of camper vans parked but there’s so much space so you don’t feel crammed and still have plenty of privacy! Loved the night sky views as well. We will for sure be returning here in the future.

Awesome desert place with firerings

Awesome vast desert space with many firerings. Just pick up yours. :-) Great sunset and just fifteen minutes drive from Joshua NP. 5G and cell reception. No other amenities. You have to bring your own wood, can be bought at gas stations in the area.

Accessible, Fun, Free

Really great experience. I took my pop up camper for a birthday trip and settled on the desert to avoid the snow and save money. My buddy and I went hunting nearby, I was surprised to come across beautiful sand dunes in the area, great hiking, great sunset, perfect spot.

Fire, People, Easy

This campground is simple to get to with tons of space. It’s great for a one night or multi night camping trip if you’re trying to get to Joshua Tree during the day.
