Nice spot in the water
Aux Arc Park is a beautiful little campground with large sites on the water. Just here overnight, so no time to explore but will be back

We had a great night's stay here, the sites are spaced out nicely. The spots are level and easy to back in to and easy to locate. Would definitely recommend staying here whether camping in a tent, RV or camper. All amenities were clean and easily accessible.
Great place to watch boats or go out in one yourself. Large campground lots of sites. Wasn’t impressed with the one to the right as you first get there, looked like more long term residents and almost left after riding through there but then I could see there was a campground further down the road and it was a very nice. Level sites. You can watch the boats on the river.
F-15 is a great spot. Easy back-in, level, water, electric, and partial shade. Grill, fire pit, lantern hanger, and covered picnic table. Will definitely be back!
We stayed in the F-11 site. Perfectly level, easy back-in site with a covered picnic table. Not a lot of shade at this site, but excellent for viewing barges going and coming through the lock and dam.
We had a great trip for our first time out! We stayed in site B-18. Lots of shade. Shared drive that is a back-in site. Can be a bit tricky if you’re a newcomer to pulling a travel trailer due to the curve in the driveway.
Easy to reserve Recreation.gov. We stayed in a tent site for $10 because we didn’t need hookups and the rest of the park seemed crowded. I would wear water shoes in the shower. Boat launch and lovely views of the Arkansas river. Close to restaurants and shopping .
Camp site (Teardrop camping)
We briefly stayed at this camp site overnight. There is an electric + water hook up and a picnic table + a fire ring on the camp site. We were there during the off season and it was pretty empty and nice. With so many tall trees around the site and a river right by, it's feels scenic. Sites are also well spaced out.
You'll hear trains going by periodically but wasn't a problem for us. They don't sell firewood within the campground FYI.

Facilities/ Amenities
Bathroom could be a few minute walk depending on the site location. Clean and well maintained and hot showers available also.
There was a playground very close to our site so that was a plus if you have kids.

Surrounding area
The CG is in the Ozark area so plenty of things to do.

This place was spacious, clean, and the view of the river was nice. I loved seeing the trains and barges.
We got in about 2:45 PM and the check in office was closed. Based on our confirmation email, we started to head towards our site just as one of the park hosts was driving by and she said to just go to our site and check in later. We went to back-in site 11, which is a river view with 50/30 AMP with water. There is no sewer here but you can use a hose connection to let your grey water drain on the ground. This site was the same one we had two years ago on almost the same date as we again headed south for our annual RV maintenance. We love Aux Arc’s ambience along the river. We didn't mind the dam alarms, work going on(interesting to watch), and even the trains that periodically rumble by throughout the day and night. But if you don’t like this type of noise, you are better off in the older B& D areas farther up river from the dam. B& D sites are actually in the same area with B sites on the river side and D sites across the road with a lot of tree cover. The C area is down river in a separate area on the other side of the dam. A sites are on the other side of B& D near the boat launch. As the norm with COEs, the water pressure was very good so you'll need a reducer. We did not get any OTA channels but received 3 bars on Verizon. In the F area there are not many trees so we had a clear shot to the southern sky for satellite. Sites in all areas are well spaced apart. There is a dump station located in the middle of the main CG and another outside the gate. The town of Ozark has your major amenities to include a Walmart.
Great little spot here. Stopped in on a trip to Georgia. Only stayed one night but was able to book the reservation online the day of camping. Looked like there were several available. Stopped on a Monday night. Shady and rest rooms and showers available.
Spending 6 nights. Little hard to find using GPS. But definitely worth looking for. Riverside site was level, clean, shaded with 50amp and water. Great cell coverage with Verizon winning with 150m down and 43meg up. ATT, t-mobile and Visible all doing 50m down and varying 15 to 40 up. Cricket even did 7 down and 3 up
We stayed at Aux Arc Campground for a 3 day getaway. We used it as a base camp to visit several Arkansas state parks such as Devil’s Den and Lake Fort Smith. The camp was clean, a little crowded, but very nice and relaxed.
We really love it here. We will be staying here often.
We stayed below the dam it was ok lots of traffic due to a public parking there was no dumpsters on the bottom side the upper sits look a lot better with lots of shade
The campground is clean and the views are good. It is by the Arkansas river, near a hydroelectric dam. You will see barges going down the river, and see the railroad that sits across the river. The bathrooms and showers were clean. Some sites have covered picnic tables and lantern hooks. We will camp here again.
Very nice clean camp. Nice boat launch. Large spaces. Plenty of room to fish. Water and electric. No swimming but bluff hole is 15 minutes away and awesome
Aux Arc is clean and well maintained by the Corps of Engineers. It is in a weird location literally next to the Ozark Powerhouse.
The campground is modern and each site has some nice upgrade with pave spaces and table with small pavilions. Personally I would camp towards the bottom of the campground to try and avoid being forced to stare at the dam.
If there was better scenery this would have a higher ranking. Also, it tends to be geared more towards RVs and Camper Trailers rather than tents, but you can tent camp if you want.
The showers and bathrooms are clean and they have a good crew driving around in thier golf carts keeping everything maintained.
