Camp site (Teardrop camping)
We briefly stayed at this camp site overnight. There is an electric + water hook up and a picnic table + a fire ring on the camp site. We were there during the off season and it was pretty empty and nice. With so many tall trees around the site and a river right by, it's feels scenic. Sites are also well spaced out.
You'll hear trains going by periodically but wasn't a problem for us. They don't sell firewood within the campground FYI.

Bathroom could be a few minute walk depending on the site location. Clean and well maintained and hot showers available also.
There was a playground very close to our site so that was a plus if you have kids.

Camp site (Teardrop camping)
We briefly stayed at this camp site overnight. There is an electric/water hook up on the site + picnic table and a fire ring.
We were there during the off season but there were still lots of people but it still was a pleasant stay. Tells that this CG is popular.
-
Facilities/ Amenities
Bathroom / showers were clean and well maintained. Dumpster is a bit of a walk.
-
Surrounding area
The CG is in the woods so you'd definitely feel connected to nature. Haven't explored the surrounding area enough to leave a review.

Camp site (Teardrop camping)
We briefly stayed at this camp site overnight. There is an electric hook up but no water. Ours was a pull through site. Picnic table with pergola is available on the camp site. We were there during the off season and it was empty and nice. We had no problem accessing the site even tho we arrived really late.

Facilities/ Amenities
Bathroom was a few minutes walk from the site. Clean and well maintained and hot showers available also.

Surrounding area
The site is right by the lake so for boat owners, this place seems to be a perfect camp ground. Feels to me like more of a recreational site than for camping.

Camp site (Teardrop camping)
We stayed the camp site on our way back home for a night. There are only 5 RV spots, no reservation needed. $15 a night / honor system. There are also tent sites available. Electric and water hookups available but no fire rings and no table on the camp site.

RV dump station is close by. Picnic area, playground + trash bins are right next to the RV sites.
-
Surrounding area
The site is right by the lake. Very quiet and peaceful. Yet all the sites are very open so personally it didn't feel like a campground.

Camp site (Teardrop camping)
We stayed at the Sunset View CG since the Canyon View CG was closed when we got there. Both campgrounds are very close to each other. We took the unpaved road to get to the top of the hill where the CG was and it was a slow & shaky drive….. There is a paved road so don't be fooled by Waze :)
CG is very quiet and has scenic sites that are well spaced out. The sites were big enough and paved well to easily park teardrop trailers and RVs. It felt very private with not many people on the campground. The wind in October was pretty strong so be prepared.
-
Facilities / Amenities
Bathrooms were clean but no showers. The cleaning station was locked because of cold. No fire rings on the camp site but there are picnic tables.
-
Surrounding area
This campground is close to the visitor center. The night sky and the sunset were fabulous!

Camp site (Tent + Teardrop camping)
We stayed at two different camp sites, a tent only site and a RV site. First stay at the tent only site was great. It was well closed off from the other sites so nice and quiet. Really felt like camping in pure nature. (5 star)
If you are planning to stay at the RV site (Kendall loop), I would recommend staying away from the sites that are right next to the Shore Drive. You'll see/hear the cars driving by all night long. Those sites are #12,13,17,20,23,25,27,29. Also, site #5 is right in front of the bathhouse. We stayed at #12 and the smell was awful there. There are poison ivy near the fence so watch out. (3 star)
-
Facilities/ Amenities
Bathrooms weren't maintained well. 2 of 3 sinks were clogged. There is a cleaning station and showers next to the Kendall bathhouse.
-
Surrounding area
This campground has great access to the beach, and about 7 miles away from the boardwalk.

Camp site (Tent + Teardrop camping)
Camp site was beautiful! We stayed at two different camp sites and the view was amazing. The camp sites near the river had electricity hookup. The sites were big enough and paved well to easily park teardrop trailers.
-

Bathrooms were clean but now showers. There is a water spigot next to the bathroom if you need water. They don't have firewood within the campground.
-

Camp site(Tent camping)
The camp site is what it is, just a camp site :) It's one of the bigger state parks surrounded by forest in MD. We live close by so we go there for hiking a lot too.
-
Facilities/ Amenities
Bathrooms were clean and well maintained.
-
Surrounding area
This is where this camp ground shines. It has access to many trails and the Patapsco River. Saw Mill trails is great for a family hike.
The state park is in a great location for a quick trip for groceries and restaurants.

Camp site(Tent camping)
Camp site was pretty small and close to each other. The forest where the camp site was situated was beautiful. We were lucky enough to witness a spectacular light show put up by thousands of fireflies at night.
It is Maryland so watch out for poison ivy when walking through bushes.
Facilities/ Amenities
Bathrooms were clean.
Surrounding area
Walking distance to the huge beach / lake. The area was overcrowded but maintained well and clean.
Camp site / Amenities
Camp sites were spacious and the bathroom was clean.
Surrounding area
There are lots of tails for hiking in walking distance and also a playground for kids.
To get the lighthouse, you would need to drive for a few minutes which is definitely worth it. The view from the lighthouse is stunning. Parking lot is pretty small so there is a good chance you'll need to wait for a parking spot. The trail itself is very family-friendly.
Camp site (Tent camping)
Camp site was pretty spacious. We set up our tent on gravel. No hookups to electricity or water. Rangers deliver firewood for your convenience.
Facilities / Amenities
Huge pool divided into two sections, one for mainly kids and the other for swimming and water slides. There is a food court in the swimming pool and a camp store right next to it.
They play movies every night at the outdoor theater near the pool.
There is a basketball court, playgrounds, and jumping pads.
During the day, we did tie dying t-shirts at the pavilion.
There is a 18-hole mini golf course as well.
Camp site (Tent camping)
We were at the group camping ground which was big and open, and had a pavilion for co-use. A little too open it seemed, but there are other sites that are a bit more enclosed. Have to walk from the parking spot to the camp ground. No hookups to electricity or water. Camp host right across from us was friendly!
Facilities / Amenities
Bathrooms were well maintained and you can get firewood ($5, cash) from near it.
Surrounding area
The trails to the overlook was easy enough for the kids too. Took us about 40 mins to walk up the trail. The view from the overlook was stunning.
Camp ground was just a few minute drive away from the entrance to the trail. Trails were easy enough for kids.
Camp site itself was nice and clean but felt a little too close to each other. We had a water pump on the site.
Bathrooms were clean enough.
If you want to spend some quality time on the beach not crowded, this is the place to be.
Bathrooms are clean and showers are separate from the bathrooms, which I liked.
Campgrounds are pretty basic and are very open without any shades. Wind can get really wild for tent campers. Wild horses roam around even at night times so keep your food inside the car.
Ocean City is just 30 min drive from the campground.
Overall, we loved it.
One of the most well maintained camp grounds I’ve been to in Maryland.
Camp hosts and Rangers are friendly.
Kayaking definitely was an extra fun for the kids.
