The Best Camping Near Page, Arizona

Great location if you're trying to get back and forth to Antelope Canyon (if you haven't been you should try and put it on your to do list)

Tent sites are a bit packed together and everything is on gravel...because you're packed together you can't escape the ambient noise of people talking cars driving around and arriving and leaving at all kinds of hours.

There are lots of really nice amenities, (laundry, wifi, pool, store and even a gym...) but can also be a lot of people. Restrooms seem to get dirty quickly, but seem to be cleaned on a pretty regular basis. 

Good location

Take this review with a grain of salt. I hate RV/city "camping". I prefer wide open spaces, and next to no people....

It's a RV/campground. In a city. Camp spots are right next to each other with no barriers. Gravel. You can hear traffic all night long. 

The good? Friendly staff. Hot showers. Conveniently located to Antelope Canyon. However, if you're like me and love dispersed and/or primitive camping--head up the road to Lone Rock Campground and set your tent up right on the beach. I was afraid of taking my AWD there close to nightfall without laying eyes on it first. It's completely doable. Go there. (No showers, just pit toilets). 

Eh. Could be worse.

We stayed right on the lake, at a clean and spacious campsite. Would definitely stay here again.

Great clean campsite

We stayed in this park for four nights as we prepped our 5th wheel for three weeks of Boondocking. The camp ground was clean and well taken care of. We stayed in February, which is considered off season. In our way of thinking less tourist the better. We would stay here again whenever we are in the Page Arizona area.

A bit expensive but overall a nice place to stay.

These grounds are lovely! Super nice location with just enough business around us. Free showers and good people! Would definitely re-visit!

Wonderful!

This was a rare and interesting camp ground. Most of the site was sand (duh we're in the desert!) and there's an 18 inch cinder block wall dividing the sites. There isn't much, or any privacy in the tent sites. They did have an interesting walking path that goes up a huge rock wall that was cool. Having free hot showers was a huuuuge plus! The location was close enough to town to grab food and close enough to the marina (use your park pass to get in!)

Stayed here in April before busy season. Nice camper store. Only problem was a group of 10 at the site next to us. They had a couple sites but all slept in one and were up all night.

Beautiful views, nice site

We were here for 1 night. Had reservation for Antelope canyon tour the next morning. This site was in the low $20's with my aaa discount. Small plots but not an issue for a night. Showers for everyone are included in that price. And we used the indoor pool and hot tub to relax.

Great alternative to a hotel

Basic, nice campground. Clean hot showers, indoor pool. The sites are gravel, not much to look at. Hop the little 3 foot cinder block wall and hike up the sandstone rocks for a nice view of the valley behind you. The sandstone is really cool because you can almost literally walk vertically up the wall and your shoes just grip the rocks. Fun!
Short drive to either Antelope Valley Canyon or Horseshoe Bend. 
We will be back. 

Location, Location, Location

I’ve stayed at this campground two different times almost a year apart and both times the experience has been phenominal! Clean bathrooms and showers, nice laundry and the pool is a nice plus! 

A favorite of mine!

There are plenty of places to camp. The early summer is pretty busy. If you camp on the sand be careful because people get stuck. Beautiful waters and warm nights.

Cool place to camp

The lake is hot and the wind is crazy. Like all desert campgrounds, privacy isn’t a choice since the landscape is barren. The wind gusts while here kept us from making a fire and our tent almost took off on us even after being staked down. It’s not the best place to camp during summer months when the heat really gets to you, but our dog loved the lake and spend his evenings swimming with us before bed.

Fun trip with Sandy beach camping. Awesome fireworks show. Rainbow Bridge is breathtaking!

July Heat

Laka Powell is a gorgeous place. Only spent a day in the campground the rest was out on the lake. Wonderful views and an open sky.

We chose this campground because of its proximity to Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon. We are normally state or national park campers (we have a van not RV) so our three star review is based on our preferences. If you are used to an RV Park, this may be better suited for you. 

Pros:
 Friendly staff and check-in was smooth
Generous sized spaces with picnic table (although it was raining and we didn’t use it)
Clean bathrooms and showers with hot water
Dishwashing sink with hot water
Fitness room
10% discount for AARP and others
Proximity to Lake Powell, Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon

Cons:
 Very close to road - lots of noise
No privacy 

Overall, it worked for a one night stay for us but we decided to move on closer to our next destination.

Other than the customer service, this camp ground was amazing! Perfect location. Reasonable prices! Clean bathrooms, for the most part. Lots of bugs in the sinks in the morning but that’s camping for you. 

Great

We stayed at Lone Rock Campground right by Lake Powell and Page. This campsite was on the sand by the lake and it was a great spot. In some areas the sand I deep so it is easy to get stuck if you aren't prepared with a 4-wheel drive vehicle or recovery boards. The van we took did get stuck, but we were able to get out easily with shovels and some pushing/recovery board use. It is a large open area so there can be large winds and but it was a great spot.

Had a great weekend right by the lake!

Lots of fun recreational activities and plenty of options for lodging. Campground is nice and close to activities. All services provided. Very hot in the summer. Lots of free camping as well as the paid campground.

Desert oasis/disneyland

We stayed here because it's only a 10 min drive from the lake and we were getting up before su rose to paddleboard. We came late and left before the sun rose, but it looked like most of the RVers lived there. The tent spots were VERY close to each other and the water hook-ups were not working. You have to pay for the showers, but we didn't go into the facility to see how nice they were so I'm not sure. The guy who checked us in was nice, but I probably wouldn't go back if we went back to Page, Az.

Perfect if you're trying to catch the sunrise at Lake Powell

This campground is like a parking lot with gravel. One side appeared to have mature trees and the other didn't. We were told we would get one spot but was put in another. There wasn't anything spectacular about this park, just a good spot to rest for the night.

Level pads with some close easy hiking. Minutes from lake Powell and Horseshoe bend. 

Close to everything

A nice and serviceable campground.  Gets the job done.   It's BIG, plenty of options.  Adequately spaced.    Bath house was clean with code lock.  Showers included.   Pet friendly.

Convenient location, close to Horseshoe Bend 

The campground is conveniently located close to Horseshoe Bend and Lake Powell. There are biking, hiking and running trails nearby. There is a playground with a trail around it in the campground, but there is not a dog park.  

The sites are pull through, gravel sites with full hook-ups. They were slightly uneven, but spacious. The bathroom amenities weren’t clean, there was hair all over the shower. They also provide wagon rentals which looked pretty neat, if you don’t have a camper, but want to stay overnight in the area. 

Overall, we enjoyed our stay but wouldn’t rate the bathroom/shower amenities highly. 

Page Lake Powell Campground, AZ

For a lay over night this place worked great and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. 

That said, given the surrounding majesty of the landscapes and the plentiful open spaces in the region, we were disappointed how squeezed in an “in town” this campground ended up being. The sites were clean and all went smoothly but would have preferred to have stayed somewhere that we could have better relished in what makes the area special.

While deceiving in that it’s close to the city, this campground does a great job - full service sites, the bathrooms and showers are clean and hot. Incredibly we had to discover on our own that the Page Rim Trail goes right by this campground. It’s a 10mi loop around the city of Page. If you ride this loop you will get views of the river, the bridge and the dam. What an attribute and just a small perk as the campground does not advertise that the trail goes right by. Furthermore there is a great bench swing up on the trail that offers sun/moon rise as well as sunset views. A must see! Enjoy folks!!

Packed in like sardines.  Way too close for me.  Only spent one night there.
I gave it two stars because the staff was very friendly and the showers and bathrooms were spotless!

Close quarters!

This campground is just on the outskirts of town. Coppermine Road is pretty busy during the day, but eventually quiets down at night. 

This is a well established campground. The restrooms/showers are old&amp; look old. That being said, it's very clean. We did get a whiff of sewer from the dump station every time we walked to &amp; from the bathroom. Lots of mercury vapor lights at night. They are so annoying. There was one shining right in our camper. The staff are friendly&amp; were able to give me a printed map of Page. They also took AAA, Good Sam&amp; KOA cards for discount! This actually looks like an old KOA. They have a small store. The pool is indoor, but we didn't use it. They have some covered wagons for overnighters. They looked cute, but we didn't get to see inside them. Overall, I would recommend this campground. We only stayed a couple of nights, but it seemed well run. We camped at Page Lake Powell Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Nice campground

Enjoyed a week here, the park was ok. Half of the place is full time. The red rocks are beautiful and the location is very convenient. The showers were terrible. After a long day of kayaking and hiking all I wanted was a nice shower, sadly I suffered the teeny tiny(I’m 5’2 and small. I could barely move around) shower with no shower head so water came at me like painful little bbs. It sucked. The whole place needs some TLC. Not worth the price.

Over priced

This was our first visit to this campground we arrived late Friday night able to pitch our tents have campfire. Amenities offered were nice clean friendly people

We stayed at the Page Lake Powell campground for the second time in May 2021.  The sites are excellent with decent spacing.  The facilities look to be great and well maintained but we did not use any as we were only there one night.  The hosts were really friendly and helpful.  

  

The campground is just a short distance from several attractions including Horseshoe Bend, Lake Powell, Lees Ferry, Hoover Dam, Vermillion Cliffs and more

Page - The only place to camp

Great location-- close to Lake Powell AND WalMart!  Beautiful cliff backdrop.  The surprisingly nice indoor pool was great to cool down in the heat.

Good size site, could not burn fire wood but we were able to use charcoal on the grill. Had electricity, and super close to bathrooms. Beautiful views. Disliked being so close to the road and hearing traffic.

Great stay

This campground is adequate for a stay in the Page area.  Sites were adequate in size, hookups worked without issues.  A night's stay costs $50+.  We did not use the bathrooms or showers, they looked "ok".  Building is old.  There are not a lot of other options in Page. 

There a several rows of campers that look like they are long term. 

In Page you can visit the Glen Canyon dam,  Horseshoe Bend on the Colorado River.  There are other hikes nearby.  Lake Powell is extremely low on water at this time.  

Page has multiple motels, restaurants, etc.

Good location for a visit to Page and Glen Canyon area.  

No frills RV park that's conveniently located for visiting Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon, as well as other surrounding areas. Cell coverage with AT&amp;T and Verizon is great, cheap laundry facility, small fitness center, and free clean showers and restrooms. Everything in Page is close enough to bike to, which is very convenient with the INSANE gas prices right now! Would stay here again if passing through.

Nice spot for visiting Page and surrounding area

One of few camping options near town. Unless you want to stay on BLM Land 20 min away this is your best bet. You are packed in only a few feet from other campers, so don’t expect privacy. Most RVs appear to be monthly renters. 2 bath houses, we used the bath house further away from the main office assuming it would be nicer/less crowded. We were very wrong on both fronts. It was not a pleasant time showering there, however after 3 days of hiking with no showers I would’ve been happy with a hose. The bath house connected to the office was much nicer, but we didn’t test the showers there. They also allow non-customers to shower for $4. Not too shabby all in all. Does the trick in a pinch. Photos attached are of the nicer showers. 


It’s Okay

Beautiful setting and a short drive to shops and tours around the nearby canyons. Tent pitches are on sand and very easy to hammer in pegs. Each pitch has an electric point, water tap and a picnic bench which can be moved into tree shade if desired. Facilities are excellent, clean and warm. Great laundry as well. 

This was a great spot and a unique park. It had good restrooms and friendly staff. Close to big bend, Antelope Canyon and so much more! 

Nice park and great location to near by attractions. 

Indoor pool is great together with hot tub. Strong winds outside but inside so no worries.

Nice campground but right next to street. If you don’t like noise it’s bad. We didn’t mind. Nice shaded pool area, very clean. Good place to stay with children. Shaded sites

Stayed here only 1 night. Clean park. Decent indoor pool and hot tub, small fitness room. Close to grocery and horseshoe bend. Our site #15 was  water and electric only, pull through. It was a good size with some shade but was not level. 

Great stopover 

My wife and I stayed on a tent site in our camper van while passing through town. The office staff was not attentive or friendly. We felt we were bothering them. I went back to ask a question and they had closed the office ten minutes early and would not answer the phone. The email I received with all the access codes had inaccurate information. The power outlet in the women’s bathroom did not work so my wife couldn’t get ready. Showers and bathrooms were not terrible but seemed a little run down. The site itself was ok but right by the road with a lot of traffic.  Would not stay here again. 

Meh 

Cheapest campground for RV full hookup in area. Conveniently located near all page attractions. Sites were nice and big. Had an indoor pool and hot tub. Dog park was pretty much a joke for big dogs and the tree branches are a bit of an issue in places when driving a big rig though. Otherwise clean, safe and great location! 

2 nights mid March

This  rv park is directly on an extremely busy Coppermine Road. Our space was the closest one to the driveway entrance. Air conditioning, earplugs, and white noise did nothing to quell the sound for a good night sleep.

Wi-Fi was intermittent at best but for the three days we were here we were able to log on one time. Kept saying unable to connect wrong password which wasn’t the case. Bring some DVDs because there is no TV availability. Even with our cable hook up may be a satellite for people work, but we don’t have one. Most people have dogs, and apparently leash requirements are not enforced. We have a cat and I couldn’t even take her out on her leash due to all the loose dogs. Most people have no regard and walk through your campsite back-and-forth to the office. We were one row away from the office,#82.  

That being said, the sites level, and the hook ups were OK

Although it was extremely windy for a day, I think I would have spent the extra money and stayed at one of the campsites near the  marina much quieter, and well maintained.

Did not use the pool or spa as it was loaded with kids and families were not real big on indoor facilities anyway. Sorry to make. Out first review such a downer but had we known we would’ve moved on and not stayed here. Very few healthy options for eating in town might do best with the deli at Safeway. We did have a nice lunch Canyon brewery.

Noisiest campground we’ve ever stayed in. 

The campground map on their website indicated cable tv on some site, but they do no offer cable tv anymore.  The wifi was the worst I have ever experienced, got there at 3 PM and could not even open an email.  The park was just bought by an LLC and the on-site manager seems to have no authority as once I figured out the cable and wifi situation I requested a refund for my second night so we could move, but he could not make a decision until he talked to his manager the next morning.  I would definitely stay somewhere else until they can improve this location.  They have an indoor pool, but in early October is was closed for the season.  Why have an indoor if you close it that early?  We stayed here 2 years ago and it was better, but will not return again!
