Spent the weekend here with several friends and their rigs. Plenty of room for everyone. 

Great group dispersed site

The Forest Service has a designated area and there are limited camping spots.  On Friday at noon only a few were available.

Limited Camping

No amenities as expected. Just beware— got here at 4 on a Wednesday and there was only one really small spot left. Everyone was very respectful 

Really busy! 

Wonderful spot. People are kind and thoughtful. Views are pretty good as well. Not a whole lot of spots though so be early if planning during a holiday/weekend.

Peaceful

Worth driving up from south lot butte.  Wayyy better sites.  Plenty to chose from!  Not sure why someone said there were not a lot - there’s a ton.  If it is too full by chance, keep driving, there’s many other sites not listed on here that are also dispersed just down the road.

We turned off 89A onto Loy Butte. All the initial camp grounds were pretty packed up (late February) but we found a good spot when we got to Nolan. Gorgeous views when we woke up. Porta potties scattered through the campground we're handy. We had loud neighbors that were up very late but the view in the morning made it well worth it.

Beautiful views, pretty respectful neighbours, and the best of the areas in the Sedona area - the rest of the dispersed camping while closer to the highway are more like parking lots

Great spot for your MTB vacation

All the individual locations are blocked. You need to stay in group dispersed camping areas. If you get there later, good luck finding a spot. If you like neighbors, this is for you. The views are very nice in morning. Expect tons of red dirt everywhere. 

Too many people 

There’s some sweet spots and some not so sweet spots. There are ports potties which are nice.  Bad part is no campfires allowed. A few did it anyways but it was pretty dry. Not the best, but not the worst. Very good jumping off point for MYB though. 

Clean but close neighbors

The first 4 blm sites on the forest service road were packed and this one almost so but luckily I was able to find a spot. This was after Greasy Spoon but before Nolan or a smaller version of Nolan since it looked like a lot of areas were nearby but blocked off and only had 1 portable toilet.

  

Despite being full, was relatively quiet and there was enough bushes around to have some privacy. As others mentioned be prepared for getting red dust everywhere. Excellent views of nearby hills and the night sky.
