A beautiful and peaceful space for tent or RV camping very close to downtown Mentone as well as Desoto State Park. The campground is very wooded and well cared for with separate sites for tent only and RV camping. It has clean and well-maintained bathrooms that are at the top of the hill and there are flowers planted all around. This is one of the few parts of Alabama that is cool enough to camp in the summer(still hot but not miserable). They even have a lake on the grounds of the campground where you can cool off or take a short drive to Desoto falls and rent boats or go swimming.
