Beach, Town & Wilderness biking all in one.

We have stayed here in March for the last three years. It is really on an "island" in the village of Gulf Shores.  Walking distance to the beach, dining, shopping AND connected by a path through the woods to Gulf Shores State Park. The park is huge with 29 miles of walking or biking trails,  which wind through the forest, through wetlands and around lakes.  The trails are blacktop or wooden bridges/causeways.   Besides the beautiful beach, the village has wonderful facilities: restaurants, grocery stores, public library, recreation center, golf course, Brewery, mini golf, water park  etc.

The resort is well managed, clean and has an event coordinator that keeps the an active calendar.

We love this place.

Nice location

Campground isn’t big, most sites are good size with space between. There are a few that are really close together. We stayed in 57 and had a sufficient buffer.
Close to a lot of restaurants, trails, beach, etc

Big Rig Friendly

Very conveniently located to restaurants, shopping, and the beach. All of which are within walking distance. The sites have concrete pads but sand for your patio area. Sites are not to big but I’ve had a lot worse. They could use a bigger sign at the turn in, if not looking you will miss it. We stayed a week and will return.

Close the the beach

This is not my typical style of “camping”, but this was a great place to stay for a beach trip. Walking distance to the beach, restaurants and stores. There is a pool, hangout area with cornhole, laundry and a gathering house for events. The sites are close together, but I came here to go to the beach instead hang out at the site. Would definitely come here again.

Immaculate

Although pricey this campground is worth it because it’s kept immaculate with beautiful trees surrounding it and is so close to the beach. The walk to the beach takes you through town with many stores and restaurants. It rained most of our stay and beware that if you have a site that is in the center of the park you may get flooded. Even though the sites are in cement pavement with gravel on the side, it still floods—at least you won’t have mud. There is a nice long dog walk but unfortunately there is no fenced in area. The WiFi was vey good and allowed us to connect with our religious zoom meetings.

Great location, with a caveat...

Campsite was beautiful and well cared for with great facilities. Very little privacy between sites AND have restrictions on the type of camper you have. We have a pop up and was able to complete their easy online reservation without knowing we actually didn’t make the cut (“only full RV style, less than 15 years old, etc) we checked in after normal hours so didn’t realize this until reading their map and guidelines provided with our packet. Thankfully, no one from the park mentioned anything or made us feel unwelcome. We had a wonderful time, just make sure to read fine print!

Great level spots

The park great and very easy to get into (35’ 5th wheel). It was very full while we were there but the spots were set up to feel like you still had your own space from your neighbors. Room to park 2 cars. 2 separate spots to tie into the sewer which was nice. Level concrete pads with picnic tables. Hosts where very helpful. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Would stay again.
