Great amenities, little privacy

Tons of things to do. Many great playgrounds, beach swimming, pier fishing, etc. However, campsites were ridiculously close together. Girl at the office was supposed to call when our site was ready, then never called. It would have helpful if she had mentioned that there was a code on our paperwork needed to get through the gate.

Best first camping trip ever

We booked last minute hoping to squeeze in a camping trip, our 2yo first camping trip. We haven’t been camping in years but instantly impressed by this park. Very well maintained. Some of the nicest bath houses I’ve ever been in. Clean, ac and working.

We stayed at c99 which was a perfect spot for tents and kids. We were on a wedge between a water cove the bathrooms and the playground. Perfect location. The kids would play at the water, feeding fish or ducks and the adults would do the chores they needed too. The donut truck also shows up at the playground every morning. The big beach is a little walk (2-3blocks) but it’s worth it! There is a snack shack with pizza sandwiches burgers and ice cream, a zip line and the silo tower to explore.

The playground is practically brand new and huge. All the kids loved this. There is put put, kona ice and boat rentals.

The park seemed like it was at 90% capacity but you wouldn’t know it. It felt like a handful of people were at the beach and the playground, etc.

Definitely will be back soon.

Wind creek

I love this park. Super friendly staff Storm shelter Zip line Boat rentals Restaurant Beach’s on the lake Boat ramp Places were alittle tight but was worth it. Little bit noisy at night but not unbearable. Also understandable bc there are over 500 spots. I spent 2 months there and loved everyday. We hated to leave

Great place to relax

This was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint . It was a great place to relax and unwind. We planned on just staying for the day and stayed the night just so we could spend another day at wind creek .

The nicest campground I’ve ever been.

All camp sites have water and power and fits the needs of most all campers, including Equine campsites

Clean grounds and the largest capacity and spacious individual sites than most

Security in and out frequently.

Kids can run the area and you can see them almost everywhere they go

Quiet and peaceful

Pet friendly and LOTS of activities.

Great campground on Lake Martin

Located on Lake Martin with lots of space and many lake front sites as well as interior sites. Plenty of Great bath house facilities throughout. Lots of activities, family and dog friendly too. Not many people this time of year, which we like. Good hiking trails, Fishing, archery, playgrounds, all kinds of water sports. Take the time to visit this State Park.

Good value for the money

Lots of campsites, fishing, pavillions and bath houses. Sites for tents and RV's. Conveniently located near Alexander City in case you forgot anything. Loaded with activities for the whole family, fishing, water sports, hiking, geocaching, or just relaxing in the shade, this place has pretty much everything.

Lake, Hiking, Rock Climbing - Family Friendly

Wind Creek is a big, busy campground located right on the shores of Martin Lake outside of Alexander City. There is a ton to explore from canoeing and kayaking to hiking and rock climbing. We would definitely visit this campground again!

Nice Stay

This campground is a better place for the summer not much to do in the winter. It's a place for swimming, fishing, and boat riding. Nice bath houses and nice camp store.

Great family oriented park

This is one of the largest if not the largest campgrounds in a state park. Tons of families camp here each summer- holidays fill up fast (Halloween is such a blast here!!!) kids can ride bikes, play at the park, or even check out the zip lines.

Relaxing Lake Martin camping

Lake Martin is beautiful and there are many places to camp along it. This is the only state park along the lake and the campground closest to town (with grocery, restaurants, etc.). There are nice hiking and horseback riding trails through the woods, swimming beaches, a marina, a little cafe with boat rentals. Lots to do for all ages, from sitting watching the water to riding bikes through the roads. There are many loops to choose from but less than 25% of them are along the water. There are some furnished cabins also. Simple place to camp but quite nice.

Yay: Love the lake and boating around it.

Nay: Sites are a little crowded but there are some trees to improve privacy. Campground feels a little crowded.

Surprise: Check out Pineywood Island, kids will love to run around and entire little island.
