Beautiful views but run down & buggy

The turn off of the main road is very easy to miss, so keep your eyes out. Sign at entrance doesn’t mention anything about Nature Adventure Outfitters, only a conference center.

The campsites are set far enough back from the road that you don’t hear any passing traffic, which is great! Beautiful views of the waterway from the campsites. Looks like most sites had picnic tables and fire pits, which is a plus.

The main downside was the mosquitos — they are BAD.

Overall it gave a feel of the grounds of a rundown church camp that is passed it’s heyday. Dirty facilities and nobody around for info or gear rentals (mid-week).

Showers are available, but run on well water — very intense iron smell.

It got the job done, but maybe not quite worth the cost. We’re visiting in mid-september, so maybe the place is more lively and taken care of mid-summer when kids are out of school. Looks like such a cool spot with lots of potential.
