    Radium Springs, New Mexico

Welcome to Leasburg Dam State Park Campground, nestled near Radium Springs, NM. This spot is a gem for those who appreciate the beauty of the desert and the tranquility it offers. The campground is open all year and boasts a solid 4.5-star rating, so you know you're in for a good time.

The campground features spacious, private sites with electric hookups, making it a great choice for both tent and RV campers. Each site comes with a covered picnic table on a concrete pad, perfect for those sunny New Mexico days. Visitors have praised the clean and basic bathhouse facilities, though a little tip: the far-left sink in the women's bathroom gives the most water.

For activities, there are several short trails within the park, including the Upper and Lower Mogolian trails. If you're up for a bit more adventure, a nearby hike through a slot canyon to a mesa comes highly recommended. The park also has two small cactus gardens, a playground, and an amphitheater, though program availability can vary.

One thing to note is the gate policy—make sure to arrive before sunset, as the gate locks at dusk. This means planning your outings accordingly, but it’s a small price to pay for the peace and quiet you'll enjoy here.

Overall, Leasburg Dam State Park Campground offers a serene desert escape with plenty of room to explore and relax. Whether you're staying for a night or a few days, you'll find it a welcoming retreat.
