Great Lakeview Sites
We spent two nights here and it was amazing. This is a fee area to camp and has a pay box at each end of the camp road. Even though this is a pay envelope area there is a camp host who you should check in with to find out about the area and any wildlife that has been seen around the campground. There are picnic tables, fire rings with grates, charcoal grills, and bear boxes for each site. At least some of the sites also have a pad for tents. The campground also has three pit toilets which are well maintained and a boat launch with dock for non-motorized boats. Your boat must have a current mussel tag to be used in Wyoming. We brought a canoe with us because there are several lakes in the vicinity but only paddled this one which was a lot of fun. The lake here can also be fished. Nearby this campground there are some trails to hike or horseback ride also. There were a few drawbacks to this campground. The ATV and vehicle traffic on the main road is pretty heavy especially on saturday and sunday and it can be heard very well in the campground. The other drawback was the mosquitoes, being near a lake I was expecting there to be a lot and there were, so bring bug spray. Other than that this campground offers a lot of opportunity for things to do.
