Less Frequented Campground in the High Uintas
We stayed for 2 nights at Sulphur Campground back in summer 2018 while wildfire smoke was drifting from a fire south of the Uintas. We had a great time and found Sulphur to be quieter and more spaced out than many of the other, more popular campgrounds closer to Kamas.
This one backs up to a beautiful cliff with evergreens. While it's close to the road, we found the road noise to be minimal. Each site has a fire ring and some spacing from one's neighbors. There are also pit toilets and trash receptacles (if I remember correctly). I'm unsure about potable water.
