Another one of the “Designated Dispersed Camping” areas we’ve been seeing around here, not to be confused with the nearby developed Turpin Meadows campground, which has a fee and regular sites with tables, bear boxes, toilets, etc. 

Camping in these designated dispersed areas is only allowed in marked sites. Unlike all the camping areas to the south and the east of Grand Teton NP, this area was quiet and we finally got to relax after unsuccessfully hunting for a spot all day. 

Site #1 is basically a large pullout along the road, but despite that it felt very peaceful here. The road is almost completely quiet at night. There was a small camper here when we arrived, but we parked at the other end of the lot and didn’t feel like we were crowding them.

 Sites #2 and 3 are further in, lower and closer to the creek. We didn’t go down there because they were occupied, but we enjoyed our beautiful views of the valley and the mountains from up high at site #1. There are about 20 more sites between this spot and Turpin Meadows Campground 7 miles away, according to the posted map, but we didn't go check them out.

There is no water or garbage so pack in and pack out. 

Very weak to non-existent cell service here, but the cell booster bumped up the verizon phone to 3 bars of 3G, and at times LTE, and gave the ATT phone and TMobile hotspot a couple of bars as well, though TMobile’s service was roaming. 

We woke up to cows breakfasting around our RV!
