Close to Cody, WY...great for RVs, so-so for tent campers

This large State Park campground gets pluses for having both dry and hook-ups sites for RVs, and can accommodate large ones. It's not as optimal for tent campers, as there are only a few sites that lack shade and are very windy because it's right on Buffalo Bill Reservoir. Sites start at $17 which does make it a prettier and more reasonable option than camping in Cody at RV parks, yet it's only a 10 minute drive to town.

out of the way

site: clean. large. level. decent privacy. amenities: clean. modern. bring quarters for showers. attractions: close to Yellowstone National Park. wildlife. great views. Family suggested this campground and I would go camping here again- one of our favorites near Yellowstone.

nice reprieve

This was a great stop on a national parks trip in the Wyoming area. The campground was less busy than in the national parks. Sites were clean and large. Prices were outstanding compared to other parks near. I would definitely come back here if visiting Yellowstone again.
