Meh, okay for a night.
Stayed June 19th-June 20th
Pros- Linda was very nice on the phone and in person. I arrived late and checked in at 9:15pm.
It was not to far off the highway. I was road weary and decided to camp here instead of sleeping at a Walmart because I wanted quiet.
Warm showers
Laundry
Cons- I was really bummed to be RIGHT by the road. Even at 10pm had some ATV road noise.
I had thought from the website that I was going to be in a pull through- I should have said something when I checked in- site was long and I normally don’t care about backing in but it was dark. Then I realized that the site ONLY had a 30amp plug. I travel in a small vintage trailer and only have 20amp. So I paid $33 for what to me was a rustic site.
I really hated that the bathroom had a code! I am awful at remembering numbers and my kids could not go to the bathroom without me since they couldn’t remember the code. Showers were .25 which I think should have been free.
I was really not happy that the “neighbors” started breaking camp at 5:30am! It was a old pop up and it was so loud and took forever. I can’t really hold that against the campground. And it did start raining so maybe that’s why they packed up early.
It was a small campground. Nothing special from what I saw. I couldn’t find a trash can. I didn’t see a playground. It was fairly quiet besides my noisy neighbors tearing down. Looked to have quite a few seasonal.
I am not sure I would want to spend a weekend here but I am not familiar with the area so maybe we could have found stuff to do. If you come I would not get a site by the road.
I would probably stay here again overnight as it’s a good halfway point between my house and my parents. It beats a Walmart parking lot but next time I will make sure I have a 30amp adapter- and I will request a site away from people. The campground had lots of vacancies- I wish she would have assigned me a spot away from people so we could sleep.
