Prairie Grass and Wildflowers

Sites are large and well spaced out. The campground is clean and well kept. The rangers drive through regularly and will deliver wood to your site if requested. There are pit toilets in the camp area, but there are flush toilets, running water, and showers in the picnic area near the entrance. There are a couple of hiking trails as well. Great landscape and wildlife. We were lucky enough to have a couple of Sandhill Cranes walk through our camp early one morning.

Small, suburban campground

The campground sits on a terminal moraine about 100 ft above the Mukwonago River valley. About half of the campsites sit on level ground, the rest are located halfway up the hill. The sites are large, spaced out, and the campground is generally quiet. Electricity has been added this year. It's a pretty decent campground for a quick overnight trip.

Quiet, spacious and clean

Nice quiet campground in a huge, green and spacious park. Enjoy the numerous birds and fireflies and the peace and quiet of very private sites. Swim or fish in the lake, archery or huge picnic sites.

Great campground but...

I love this place. It has a beach, 3 ponds, trails and great staff. They just tore down their beach house containing private shower stalls. I dont want to camp without being able to shower.

Great place to stay!

We were tenting and it was primarily geared for tent campers. It was a very scenic area and the sites were well spaced from each other. The camping area had pit toilets, but there were flush toilets and showers in the beach area of the park. The swimming pond was spring fed and very pleasant for swimming with a nice sandy beach. There was an archery range, volley ball courts, covered picnic areas, and a nice playground with a lot of equipment!

Nothing spectacular

A decent enough park with swimming hole and sledding hill. Camping spots available in slightly different ecosystems.
