If an ideal camping trip is one with your tent pitched in a wooded setting, but you love to spend time on the beach, this state park is for you. Only reason for not giving five stars is the lack of hiking trails and they really need to update their bathroom facilities. One other thing to mention is that since this is a state park it is sadly underfunded and with that said, understaffed. Make sure you can get a reservation before coming in or you can wind up getting a spot for one night but have to move to another the next day. I saw this happen to two different people. The main issue was the park is woefully understaffed and the park office isn't open long enough to service everyone's needs. But, nicely laid out campground, very short walk to the beach, wildlife is pretty abundant.
