Great campsite outside of the Hoh rainforest. We got there at 7pm on a Thursday in June and there was only one other site occupied and no one arrived after us. No power, water or garbage service but there was one vault toilet (that I didn't use so I can't speak to the cleanliness.) Most sites had a picnic table, all had a fire pit. Didn't see any officials or rangers in our time there but I'm assuming someone comes by to check occasionally.
Our site was huge, it could have easily accommodated multiple vehicles and tents. Its fairly close to the road so there was some road noise in the morning from people heading up to the Hoh but there was practically no traffic after dark. Free with a Discover Pass.

Didn’t know what to expect. Needed a place to sleep on the way to the Hoh Rainforest. Site is free with a discover pass which is $30. The site was east to find off the road in the dark. There was only one other group of campers when we arrived, and they’d left by the time we got up. Lots of beautiful old trees draped in moss, nice fire pits, clean pit toilet. It drizzled almost the whole time which was what we were expecting mid October. 10/10 would come again!

I will say we were right off the road which could be more annoying in peak season.

A nice little free state forest area right next to Peak 6 outfitter store. We rafted with Hoh River Rafters, 3 hr trip down the Hoh River, a pristine class 2 river which was an up close look at the rainforest with ZERO other tourists in site. $75/person. 7 and 8 yr old kids loved it. There’s a restaurant up the road. Our rig was a 33’ camper and double cab truck and we fit. Not all of the 10 sites were this big. First come first served.

We found this camp spot after unsuccessfully getting a spot in the whole rain forest campground. It’s quite a few miles back out on the one-way road into the national Park. Only has maybe 10 sites, so definitely pull through here and keep an open eye. We felt very secluded and very private, the lush green trees provided a great shelter. There is only one pit toilet, so come prepared. Decent amount of bugs as well considering the landscape, so definitely bring some bug spray! One of our favorites so far!

I went in midday and it was a long weekend, so I took what I could get. The accessible site was free, but there were no forms to self check in, the only site that was available had dog poo, tons of holes in the ground and reeked of pee. That was site one. No table- the road in is right there and you are directly in line. It’s small. Someone left in the morning and I moved down to site 8. There was a table, but no top or seats. It was a much nicer layout, though. Loud as it’s right beside road. LOTS of tp in the trees around all the sites as no one goes to the toilet (one only).

The neat thing was the small store oeak 6? Right next door. They were really nice.

Its on the way to the Hoh which is nice too.
