We stayed here in February so the whole park was not open.  As with all state parks, some spots are better than others.  The ranger was very nice, although there for only limited hours.  It was quiet and obviously close to Padilla Bay which was a nice walk.  Also an easy drive to La Conner and Deception Pass.
