Fort Worden State Park is on the grounds of an old military base and therefore has all of the quirks of its history. This is a popular park and fills up quickly. The camping area is crowded without much to screen you from the other campers, or for that matter the weather. So, If you are looking for privacy you will not likely find it here.

But, you will likely see the greatest sunsets of your life here while standing atop the battlements of an old fort.
