Nice sites
Lovely treed campground. Large sites!
Lovely treed campground. Large sites!
Specially 4/5 stars…campground was overall very nice and well taken care of. Site I was in was very big with plenty of space ( picnic table/fire ring) and I got a site with electric/water. The site also has a connecting trail which was nice. The roads and some spots are pretty tight and windy so 5th wheels be aware. My biggest complaint is there was not dump station (which I found odd for a campground with electric/water sites) and the showers/bathrooms were a bit grungy and I could never get hot water.
Most RV spots are wide enough for 2 vehicles, except pull through spots which are pretty long. We had no problem navigating the roads with our truck and 17' Micro Minnie trailer. Playground is awesome for little kids. Amazing play structure. This place loses a star for the beach access park. The grass is very wet and mushy. With a little work this could be fixed. The swimming area is also just rock and mud. A few loads of sand would make it infinitely better.
This is a nice campground with semi private sites, several of which are generous sized with walking trails, and trails to the lake. Lots of trees for privacy. However very narrow curvy/windy single lane roads which feel hardly wide enough to fit an RV through especially when several vehicles park off the side of the street. Some corners felt as though we were inches away from other vehicles or trees. We have a 30’ bumper pull pulled with a full size 3500 truck and when/if we upgrade to a bit larger camper i’m not sure we would come back or be able to make some of the corners. No complaints about anything else and overall a great campground.
Great county operated campground campsites are spacious and private. Reserve ahead very popular especially during the summer. Flushing toilets and showers. Lake access with boat launch and fishing dock. Small loop trail. We do enjoy this campground for a quick getaway. Fall camping here is beautiful.
Cabins available, also the most amazing playground.
I lived in this park for a few weeks in our Class A. It is a nice park with some larger sites and some privacy. Showers and flush toilets. Lake access is nice in the summertime. The park is very popular with the locals so it is important to reserve far in advance.
This campground is set up as expected for a county park campground. Pretty much all the lots are hard pack gravel with no tent pads. Having a free standing tent is a bonus. Most of the sites are set up that way to accommodate various RV’s or tow behinds. Central located bath house with pay showers. Location on near the lake is good but can be crowded on the weekends. If your launching a boat do it early since trailer parking is limited. Campground spots are quiet and most have good tree cover. Recommend driving through and taking a look first of your local to choose a spot. This is a good spot for car campers or RVs and families.
Has water electric and token showers. No dump spot!
We typically visit the cabins here in the winter, so we don’t usually partake in the summer activities of swimming, boating, etc., but we do love coming here in the winter. The cabins are heated and have bunk beds, which makes for a cozy retreat into nature in the winter. The only reason that this spot did not get full stars is because the park has had transients hiking through the trails (which made for a scary 2 a.m. bathroom break).
We camped here with my daughter’s American Heritage Girls troop. The site was nice and big. The park had lots for the girls to do and explore. We had a great time.
We stayed in a lovely tent spot. The space had plenty of room. A fun lake to play in.
My Questival team stayed at Flowing Lake in cabins in October, and we loved it! Cabin was clean and warm despite chilly weather! Loved it!
