Eastern Shore at it's Best

I have been going to VA Lndg. for years.  It is very isolated, make sure you have everything you need, it's a 30 minute drive to the Walmart.  Great fishing, crabbing and just plain relaxation.  The bugs can be friendly at times.  Unfortunately the facilities are starting to get rundown, the owner's do not like to spend money on the amenities.  The boating is great in the area but you will have to go back to Quinby to use the boat ramp.

Great Experience for Families with Kids

Our family of five (Kids: 13, 10, 7) recently stayed at Virginia Landing, and it was an great experience overall, especially for families with kids. However, with some small park improvements visits could be enhanced.

The campground provided opportunities for exploration and outdoor activities that kept our kids entertained throughout our three night stay. The park is wide-open, which provided plenty of space for kids to roam and explore. Virginia Landing is located right on the shore and we felt perfectly comfortable allowing the kids to freely run around and engage in activities they don't typically (i.e. clamming, kite flying).

The park had a spacious layout that allowed for easy RV maneuvering. Whether you're a seasoned RV enthusiast or a camper just starting out, you'll appreciate the space. All sites were  accessible and comfortable for campers.

The campground staff was also helpful in guiding us to our site and providing any necessary assistance, making the whole process hassle-free.

We believe a small playground and spruced up facilities would enhance the stay for families.

This is one of our favorite destinations.

The scenery is amazing, especially at dusk and dawn.

The staff is very kind and helpful.

Beautiful surroundings

This place is huge but not crowded. No sewer hook ups or fancy store. Nothing is nearby so bring what you need.

A diamond in the rough .

We stayed near the water with full hookups. This place is absolutely beautiful and must have been amazing in its prime. No updates are being made and most everything was shut down. If you could find a ranger you could sign out volleyballs, or other outside game equipment but the odds of seeing a ranger was slim. Bathrooms were clean but could use some serious updating, only half of the toilets were working. Laundry room was clean and well care for. Regulars stated that the place is just being run down and that each year it gets worse. We enjoyed the quiet and peaceful atmosphere, but we were only there using the site as a central location to visit area attractions like Virginia Beach, Ocean City etc. Everyone kept to themselves and it was always quiet.

Nice quiet place

Was a nice place to stay about 1.5 hour drive to either Virginia Beach or assateage. Walked to the water with the kids to check out the millions of fiddler crabs and a few blue crabs and a hermit crab. I would suggest some bug spray if you plan on staying

Nice spot

The campground seems a bit out of the way, but it’s in a great location if you want to get away from the more crowded parks nearby. The staff was extremely helpful and everything was clean. My only issue was not every spot had a fire pit, but other then that I highly recommend!

Remote, beautiful, bay view

We loved this campground. We were in site 317 with full hookups. We missed the shade a lot, but the evening breeze off the bay made up for it. The sunset over the old pier is breathtaking. I hope they rebuild the pier. My kids loved catching tiny crabs in the mud every night.

Customer service is amazing. They even warned us about a thunderstorm.

Easy access to Cape Charles and Chincoteague/Assateague. We will be back.

Underutilized

This was a very nice, quiet campground with very clean bathrooms. There was a wide choice of shaded spots or fully in the sun. The staff was super friendly and so were or neighbors. This RV park has so much going for it, in surprised it wasn't busier!

Secluded Adventure in Virginia

We rented a cabin here for a couple of days. This place is quiet and beautiful. Has so much to see and do. There is mini golf, volley ball, fishing, and a playground for the kids.
