We stayed for the winter, price was great and the park is just down the road from everything one you could need. Also it’s less than an hour from Disney and other local attractions. The reason I gave them a 4 is because sights are on top of each other and we were parked so close to a tree that we couldn’t even open our awning. Also the lack of a dog run is really disappointing because my dogs like to run around and play ball, but they do have a short nature trail that we used multiple times a day and the dogs really liked that. All in all I would camp here again, but I would ask not to be placed at site E5
This place is absolutely beautiful, sites are huge with full hookups. There are bathrooms and laundry in the rec center. There is a TV room, puzzles and pool also located at the rec center. Out the back door of the rec center is a beautiful deck overlooking the spring fed lake which would be a beautiful setting for lunch, dinner or a nice quiet spot to read a book. There are docks for fishing and swings by the lake to sit at and enjoy the view. I have enjoyed myself so much that I have already booked another week in December on my way to Florida for the winter.
We stayed here for about a week, it was inexpensive and close to all of the places we wanted to visit without being right in the middle of a tourist hotspot. The pool was nice, so was the store and the rec room. Staff was friendly and everyone was super quiet and respectful. The only downside was the foul smell ever time you left your RV, which I think maybe it had something to do with a nearby farm. It wasn’t there every day so it really wasn’t that big of a deal to me. Lots of room for kids to run or ride bikes. My dogs had plenty of room to walk and play so I was happy and the back in sites were huge so my husband was happy. We have a 40’ TT and we had water hookup and 50 amp service. We did not have sewer hookups but they come out with a wagon m,w,f which you can sign up for 1 or all 3 if you want at the office. The bathrooms/showers we ok I’ve seen better and I’ve seen worse. They seemed clean but were out dated. It would only take a little bit of TLC to make a marked improvement. I would rate them a 3 out of 5 on average and we travel a lot.
We stayed near the water with full hookups. This place is absolutely beautiful and must have been amazing in its prime. No updates are being made and most everything was shut down. If you could find a ranger you could sign out volleyballs, or other outside game equipment but the odds of seeing a ranger was slim. Bathrooms were clean but could use some serious updating, only half of the toilets were working. Laundry room was clean and well care for. Regulars stated that the place is just being run down and that each year it gets worse. We enjoyed the quiet and peaceful atmosphere, but we were only there using the site as a central location to visit area attractions like Virginia Beach, Ocean City etc. Everyone kept to themselves and it was always quiet.
Very quiet and peaceful campground tucked away, but still close enough to enjoy Savannah and the beach. Sites are wide and we had full hookups. Enjoyed the dock and seeing the wildlife. There is a small alligator and a bunch of yellow bellied sliders. The trees provide enough coverage that we were protected from the afternoon sun. Little store was clean and well stocked and everyone we met was friendly. If we come back to this area we would definitely stay again.
