Rainbow acres is a nice little campground that is the perfect get away. Its quiet and right on the Mattaponi River. I totally recommend if your looking for a little peace and quiet :) 

Quiet get away

No privacy and golf carts zooming around at all hours. One in particular came into our site several times during the night yelling and flashing their lights at us but would drive off as soon as we yelled to go away or made action towards them. Drinks were stolen from our cooler left outside overnight. Our tent was one of 3 at the entire campground, it was more suited to RVs. 

Redneck Riviera

Last minute scheduled… they were very friendly.  We had never been in the area so didn’t know what to expect.  
They were super friendly and showed us to our campsite.  They have a store onsite with food, drink and fishing tackle. 
This campground is about 3/4 year rounders.  People who rent a campsite and build porches and party sites up and come visit on the weekend or stay the summer.  
It was quiet when we were there and everybody was friendly.  

More of a year round campground 

This is always our spot when we were are in the area, sometimes even when we’re not. We love rainbow acres! We’ve been in groups and just the two of us. It’s so relaxing and so much to do. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Great place to fish or paddle board whatever you’re into really.
