Amazing place to watch a NASA rocket launch
We stayed here to watch NASA launch a rocket from Wallops Island. We had a great view! We were in a corner lot overlooking the lighthouse and salt marsh. We could view the rocket climbing right beside the lighthouse. It was really picturesque!
The camp ground had all the amenities, including a really nice water park for kids and a tiki bar for the adults. It's walking distance to quite a lot of things on the island to include several restaurants, stores, a RV store & places to rent scooters & bicycles. It's also just a short ride to the beach! Ultra convenient! The staff was extremely kind & helpful
The only reason I didn't give it 5 starts is because the camp sites are VERY close together. There was no way to avoid the neighbors sewer hook-up, as it was directly in front of us (that's the case with every site). Nothing like climbing out of your camper with morning coffee & having to stare at a sewer hook-up! It may be trivial, but it really bothered us. They should've laid the park out better. Nothing is perfect, though, right? Overall it was still a great experience!
