Good public campground
Camped here over Memorial Day and surprisingly it wasn’t too crowded. The sites are averagely spaced out. Not squished together like a KOA. There isn’t a lot of shade so bring a canopy or something. Some sites have a shelter over the table but ours did not. The view of the lake is great and it is pretty close to get somewhere where you can go for a swim, fish, or launch a kayak or paddle board. They have a marina if you forget some basic camping gear or need some fishing supplies.
There are ATV/UTV trails in the area. The reservation says no ATV’s or OHV’s in the campground, but you can have them trailered or in the campground if it is street legal. You just have to pay an extra car fee.
