Nestled in the Pando Aspen Clone, this campground has access to some really beautiful hikes. The Aspen are spectacular and protected by a fence (to keep the deer out), but you can stroll in the fenced area. On either side of the lake are hikes which take you up to about 10000 ASL. The lake is very deep and the fishing was great. We did endure one day with 40 mph wind all day, but we had three great days. We were there in early September and all the cottages were closed for the season. In the entire campground, there were 4 campers. It was quiet and pleasant. There was a chill in the air already, but it was a welcome relief after Lake Havasu!
