Great Site with amazing Shaded Picnic Tables

The group sites at Lower Onion creek were great! We went in mid June (wicked hot) and it was a great location on the Colorado. I believe we got site B? There are two group sites that are near each other, and we got the one that was not as close to the water. Awesome in many ways, but a few trade offs.

Pros:

- Big spot near the water, lots of spots to pitch a tent.

- Had 2 access points to the Colorado for filling up water, as well as near shore swimming (current was still pretty fast)

- Not a terribly far drive to Moab/Arches/Canyonlands.

- Shaded picnic tables (HUGE Pro for summer) that we could hang hammocks from.

- Away from the road with very little noise and away from Moab so you could really see the stars pretty darn well.

Cons:

- Huge raft groups would pull up right to our spot around 9:00 AM if we weren't out of camp and would come frequently afterwards. Apparently its a big spot for the rafting tours to start from.

- Sites were pretty close. We had some people who were staying right next to our campsite because there's a site that backed right up to ours. Privacy is lacking a bit for such an expensive site.
