It can get pretty windy here, and with all the dust, it can make cleaning up your camping supplies difficult. Additionally, the wind makes campfires...difficult to say the least.

There is no water or wood to be collected here-- bring plenty of water. If you want to purchase firewood, there's a gas station in Huntington that sells it for a reasonable price.

On the less windy days, it's a great location for disc golf, corn hole, or a game of catch.

The road to some of the deeper campsites can be rough, but our Ford Fiesta made it, so you probably can too.

Be sure to check the forecast! It occasionally rains here, and when it does, it turns the whole area into a terrible, muddy affair (your vehicle will likely have a hard time leaving).

All in all: great views, easy entrance, lots of wind and dust.
