Garner State Park is one of my favorite state parks. It is a very big park with several camping loops that all have something to offer. We prefer Fall and Spring, since summer gets very crowded. But the cool clear water of the Frio is hard to resist so we have visited in July also. There are a lot of Hiking trails and a nice biking trail. There is a great store in the park with everything you could possibly need.
