Marfa, TX is one of those middle of nowhere towns that you NEED to explore, plus it is close to Big Bend National Park so if that is your destination then be sure to check this artsy little town out. 

We stayed in this RV park based on the location so we could walk or ride our bikes around town. It's a dusty and dated place but the owners were really nice and relaxed. There are many residents who live here and they were friendly as well. Don’t judge it based on the looks. The owner lives in the house just before the park entrance and we were told by a resident to just go up to the door. The lady told us to just pick an open spot and pay later. There are showers and free laundry on site for the short term visitor so we were able to to a couple loads but let her know in advance so she can arrange a time to unlock the door for you. All the machines were clean and in working order. 

Park also has full hook ups. It is quite dusty and while we were out and about a huge dust storm came through and since we had our windows open everything was covered in dust! Overall though we would definitely stay in this park again, it was reasonably priced at $40/FHU/night (cash only!) and the access to town is worth it. We never felt unsafe here. Some car noise but quiets down at night. 

Kinda across the street is an excellent burrito shop (cash only). Also in town is art galleries, a distillery, a beer garden, and some great restaurants. The food here was the best we’ve ever had in a small town. Even had vegan tacos at different places. Also note there are mysterious lights called The Marfa Lights that you can drive out about 8 miles east and there is a place specifically for viewing them (you can boondock there as well).

Will stay here again next time we come to Marfa!
