Upon arrival, our site pedestal BBQ grill was full of cigarette butts and partially burned wood
Women’s toilet stalls would not latch and close
No park host
Not dark sky friendly Street lights everywhere along with lighted utility hookup poles Park website states open fires prohibited, but saw many sites using solo stoves and propane campfires.
Our travel trailer is backed up to the beach and all sites are full hookup. Prices are more than reasonable.
Our permanent residence is here on Galveston Island and this is the park we use to camp at the beach. It was our very first park to “break in” our camper. We have returned several times.
A great small park as close to the water as you can get. Well kept with the usual amenities and friendly staff.
Busy place, must plan in advance for reservations. Nice access to private beach
Internet is very sketchy. Can have lots of skeeters on lagoon side
No tents allowed and lady was quite rude about it.
We lucked out during spring break and got a 1 night spot that was PERFECT! Spot 34 was on the end of the row, pull thru spot, that had ocean views! One con was the light pole was right outside our camper and bright in our window but we rigged a better window covering.
The office was closed when we got there but looked nice and they have laundry and a great porch to hang out on.
Perfect fo ppl with dogs. The beach was empty and we were able to throw the ball. Plenty of dog relief areas with bags.
They had clean port-a potty’s bc the storm busted their pipes. They were clean and convenient.
Overall very pleased! Highly recommend!
Located on the beach, close to the end of the sea wall.
Full hookups with level concrete pads. Enough space between for a picnic table. Best part is the Galveston beach right down the wooden, ramped, walkway. This small section of the beach is no vehicles and has a lifeguard. The campground is a bit from town, so you do need to drive to get to places. Other thing to consider. We had a constant 15mph wind, so awnings were flapping, and your car and camper get covered in a salty residue. We would go back.
Love this park. We’ve been twice and will go again. Very clean, spacious, and literally steps from a private beach. Great location, close to the fishing pier and all Galveston has to offer
We spent 5 days at this park and loved it. It is right on the beach. The pads are level with full hookups. We will definitely return!
Nice campground with great views. Close to tourist areas and clean bathrooms/showers.
nice quiet little RV park! It is as close to the beach as you would want. Nice cement drives and pads! The beach is away from the crowds. Not far from stores and piers in Galveston. I will be returning to this little gem!
